  1. Oh - and despite the demise of the Dragon we'll still beat the silver bullet 58-0.
  2. You sure its not at Essendon on Sunday Juz? The latest event schedule I got we were at Essendon in the morning at Sandown after lunch. But then you should have the manual now so you should know best. Alan - we just drag up and down the main street at Shep. I mean where else in Shep could we possibly do motorsport?
  3. I reckon we need some sticker suggestions too. Such as:
  4. Mr Fox got PI for $12M so IMO $8M was a massive offer for Wakefield! Personally I'd say $6M was closer to what it's worth.
  5. Considering the size of the fire and the length of time it took to get it out (we had to use 5 fire extinguishers to get it out) there is suprisingly not that much fire damage - that we know of so far. Things like the steering rack boots and front gaurd liners are toast but otherwise it doesn't seem too bad. So now we'll just have to pull the engine down and keep our fingers crossed that its really just #6 thats damaged and the rest is salvagable in the engine. On way or the other the Dragon will breath again it's just a matter of when which is a matter of $$$. LOL But I really want the car going for the NSW trip in November. I'll be gutted if I can't have the car ready for that trip.
  6. Geez - don't put any pressure on me or anything there mate. I'd love to be there as I met the man only 2 weeks ago at Calder and had a short chat to him and he was a genuinely nice bloke.
  7. My #6 rod decided it would be funny to punch a hole in my block and then use the oil to set the car on fire.
  8. Yeah and karma came and bit me on the ass and now my car is a smouldering wreck. We'll still make it to Dutton in Scotsmans car but.
  9. Surely Jesus 17's will fit on your car though Bris?
  10. I've also got your handbrake shoes. How much can I get for those? This 58-0 is getting easier all the time.
  11. Since they are in my boot - how much you reckon I can get for them on ebay?
  12. Bris, Chris and I are happy to move away from the pool and come drink the Martini's where ever you are working on the car. It's a bit cold by the pool anyways at the moment.
  13. Thats hillarious!
  14. Yeah from memory I did a 1.51 with Al in the car. They weren't overly happy about it. But I maintain PI is a funny track in that a "safe" lap isn't that much different to a fast lap because most of the corners are long sweepers so you are just maintaining throttle. There isn't much in the way of super late braking at PI so there isn't much time to be saved in that area. Anyways - I just know it's easier for me to just not take passengers at PI any more.
  15. Less than 2 weeks out from Vic and the question remains - Will the Silver Bullet get to fire a shot?
  16. No - HSV Club is just another one that i got in trouble for going too fast in a passenger session at PI in. But I didn't get banned.
  17. Dane - Benno's wing is off a V8 Supercar. Perhaps give him a call.
  18. It was a 100% stock Maserati Coupe.
  19. There was one at Calder the other week. But having said that I'll be doing Calder because I'd rather spend $100 than $200 to do a track day - plus I'm doing PI the week before so really don't have $200 to spend on a track day.
  20. Paul - unfortunately with the way the ladder finished it seems there isn't going to be any footy in Melbourne that weekend. This weekend and the Grandfinal are the only weeks you'll see footy in Vic again this year. Also - not doing Calder. As much as its always fun beating Ferrari's - I'm doing the Dutton the weekend before (15-17th) and so generally after that event I don't even want to look at my car for a month or so afterwards. LOL
  21. I got a First Aid Kit. (Its what I asked for) And some jocks.
  22. What he said.
  23. Depends on how rich you are feeling. If you are feeling rich pay $200 and do Sandown. If your not feeling so rich pay about $100 and do Calder. Personally I'm doing PI the weekend before so I'll be poor (and consequently doing Calder)
  24. Ok - if you really want a fast track / daily driver R34 GTR then the 1st thing to do is stop worrying about getting to 600HP and start worrying about what going to make it fast around a track. A standard 2.6L with forged internals and 2530's, cams, injectors, ecu etc will get you around the 500HP@wheels mark. However the suspension geometry on the R34 is all whack. The standard control arms etc don't allow enough castor to make a decent track car so that will need to be all redesigned. Obviously some good coil-overs are essential Moddifications to the Attessa and a good mech diff will help drive out of corners. You can also change the final drive and if going extreme add a carbon fibre propshaft as per the infamous Mines R34. Do all that and chuck on some huge brakes and you'll have a pretty serious piece of kit. However - if all you really want is 600HP then put on a single.
  25. Na ah. I have 4 points. Which is 4 points more than you are going to get this year.
