  1. My wife just went and got some and brought them into work. She said the queue was 15mins at the most (drive through). Seems it's coming down to a "normal" time now. PS - my wife is tops.
  2. Winton is cool in the rain. Seriously. There is basically nothing to hit so don't be put off by wet weather. It's actually a lot of fun driving in the wet at this track and you'll learn heaps if you havent done it before.
  3. You don't need anything like that dark. These days are quite fun - but totally different to a normal sprint day. We went once and I swear there was at least 50 cars out on the track at once. My record for the day was overtaking 16 cars in 1 lap. But there is no timing and it is very crowded out there. Also note - in the passenger sessions you can not go out onto the track unless you have a passenger.
  4. They are Black with Silver as per the pic on Page 1. This is the only option we have.
  5. Here's a small pic of the car from the 2005 Dutton Rally of Victoria where Frank's car won a number of events out right including the 800m Sprint and was the fastest car at Winton beating Peter Fitzgeralds GT3 Cup Car. It's definitely faster than my car - and faster than those 2 others that have posted before me.
  6. Yeah the M was plenty big enough for me. The L was far too long in the sleaves. They are a very generous size. They are really nice jackets though. I'm getting impatient already.
  7. Be aware as it's a public road it won't fall under the hill climb regulations (Speed Events - Section 10 in the CAMS manual) but instead will be under the Road Rally events which is Section 11 - which is a total bitch. Good luck but you are in for a lot if you want to go ahead with it.
  8. Save people having to open it.
  9. For those that didn't get a chance to see the finished product last night..... Also we will be conducting Photoshop 101 classes after the meeting next month for anyone that is interested. As those of you who were there last night saw it's actually pretty easy to learn. Cheers
  10. Last time I checked that was the point of brakes!
  11. You'll need new normal pads. It does that when the pads wear low. (It does on the GT-R's anyways)
  12. Like the wipers were doing anything at that speed Rus! LOL BTW - I noticed there was no Wakefield sprints this time. I take it they were cancelled due to the weather??
  13. Snowman

    World Cup!

Awesome stuff. BTW - it doesn't take long.... http://japan.justgotowned.com/
  14. We can't wait to see your car finally back in action Brisby! (James really shouldn't have taught me this! )
  15. Ok - for the quick run down (apparently as I got this info off another forum!) For $80 you get your vehicle washed top to bottom and while waiting you get a free lapdance included in the price. Apparently they have the Kittens bus set up on site with private booths for the lap dancing. They will also issue you a tax invoice for the services rendered as "car washing" so those of you with company vehicles can claim it on your tax.
  16. Such as all those people like me that have to do stocktake on this day...
  17. Well for starters I have 3 right tyres and 1 left tyre so one of them is going to be running backwards which isn't cool in the wet - not to mention that all of them are below the tread markers which also isn't cool. That said I don't mind driving in the rain - infact I quite enjoy driving in the rain at Winton and Phillip Isalnd (and Wakefield was fun too) but Sandown (and Calder) is a different story. The first time I drove there in the wet the car went straight on at turn 2 (I didnt hit anything luckily) so then I decided to limp back to the pits and yet despite going at snail speed the car also then went straight on at the kink and over the grass. I managed to just get back to the pits when the Ferrari 360 challenge smacked into the wall and spread bits of carbon fibre all over the track. Since then I've personally never been happy with Sandown in the wet.
  18. Actually this is a misgiving by many people. Good semi's with plenty of tread depth actually have heaps of grip in the wet and would still be faster than normal streets. But as soon as the wear on the semi's wears down below the tread depth markers then they can start to aquaplane.
  19. Mark came 1st in the driver's outright and Russell came 2nd in the co-drivers outright. But they won the combined Teams award (which is the big one in Dutton). I'll say it again - champion effort. I was talking to the boys earlier in the year at that Autosalon Circuit Battle and they always felt they could win NSW (the event most suited to GT-R's). I hope that they can get to the remaining events and put on a good show.
  20. Bummer Dane. Fingers crossed the weather forecast improves between now and Sunday as my tyres are in no where near good enough condition to be doing Sandown in the rain.
  21. Yeah Chris we just have to find that extra 100kw's and shed a few hundred kg's and we're a show.
  22. Not there yet Dunc. But Apparently the GTR = 1st and EVO's 2nd, 3rd and 4th (Marty and Simmo in 3rd)
  23. Never mind - found out. Teh GT-R can never lose. Well done Russell and Mark on taking out the win!
  24. Anyone know the results? I was down with Jeff Beamont on Saturday and he said he'd got a call from Martin and that he'd said Mark and Russ (giant) were winning the event.
  25. LMGT4's would fit too Aaron (same as my rims).
