Got it done fast? It took me 8hrs solid sitting on the couch with my laptop yesterday to do that. Thats hardly fast! One day the club will get a massive sponsor and we'll get those tricky timing systems they use for Dutton where eveything is done automatically into a laptop and people get their times SMS'd to them instantly. And I can spend my Sunday sleeping off the hangover.

Yep bonus points won't happen. The fast cars already have enough points without getting more points. Russell - we normally have another back section. It was due to the original low numbers we did run the short wang. But even with the final numbers we did get we wouldn't have had enough officals to run that as well. But we'll look into more things for the next event. I also enjoyed the new elements on the Long Wang than what we usually have. Stops if from becoming same old same old.

Also - personally I found this last DECA the most enjoyable of the 3 we have run. Given the trying conditions I thought it ran through pretty well. A lot of that came down to the 3 events in the afternoon which involved no set-up changes and allowed us to get through a lot of runs on 3 events which were very similar but yet IMO all 3 were very different to drive. So it raises a question I'd just like some general feedback on. Normally in the afternoon we run a slalom knock-out and then a battle type event. Do you guys prefer that kind of variation or did you actually enjoy running timed battles (no knock-out comp) on tracks which were pretty similar but consequently familiar when it came time to run?

If you are blind the full results are posted here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=107442 One thing I would also like to add is how much improvement we are starting to see in the times from the guys who have now run a few of these days. Especially in the 2WD classes. I think if David come back in the 350Z for the next one he won't have it all his own way. Except for Wog in the Ford. It's obvious he's always going to be a hack.

Attached is a copy of the final results. Please post any objections you have for times here and my hand will happily listen to anything you have to say. Cheers. DECA_Final_Results_Feb_06.pdf

Wasnt a massively noticiable difference in the times between groups on the back track but there was a pretty big difference in times between groups on the skidpan. For example between me and Scotsman - Mines Datsun Run 1 - Snowman - 43.12 Scotsman - 37.16 Schappy Run 1 Snowman - 37.28 Scotsman - 32.50 But... LongWang Run 1 Snowman - 58.09 Scotsman - 59.13 Given that Chris should have killed me but we both ended up with 2 very bad runs where we both lost a lot of points so in the end it was very very close. Infact just about everyone made a few mistakes this time - except for Christian in the forrester which is why he's finished in the top 10 (plus he drove that car well) Also - we did use any results from the 2nd run of the Wang Busta because there was a significant number of cars that didnt get that run due to the storm. Anyways - time for me to go find some dinner. Juz - take that result out and the one where you stopped on the skidpan trying to restart the car and you'd have had a super result.

Ok - after 6 hrs today infront of the TV I've finsihed the results. The basic outright points are below (I can't believe the finish at the top!) And.... cars look so hot on the back of Jacks truck!

Jack also specializes in pick ups from Winton and Reefton Spur! lol

Since the all the Drift boys are coming to DECA this time I think there's a few people coming to watch the entertainment. If we have time at the end we'll event let them loose for a bit of a free entertainment session.
-
Yeah I only know one guy that got a 49 in a GTR with stock Turbo's. He must be a gun. Especially since it was like 10 or so laps in the 49's. Aaron only got a 50 from memory.

Yep its all gone very quiet. But the further away the better. After July is SUPER! If it doesn't happen - oh well. I'll just have to convince Russ to come to Phillip Island one weekend.
-
Mate you better throw them all out on lap 1 because I'm usually well and truely finished by the time your rust bucket gets onto its 2nd lap.
-
Shep Laps. Best Fun Ever.
-
Hey - for that one weekend you can call me Cole Trickle. I can go to the Island whenever but this is probably my one chance to go flat out in my car around the ThunderDome. Still good to see the SAU boys at PI. Aaron we want a 1.45 and Jack into the 1.49's.

Crispy Fries - its past the bypass - so just after where the bypass joins up with the old Hume Hwy. The bypass is so cool. "I'm sorry Mr Dent but you have to build bypasses" Cheers
-
Ash - the membership link isn't working. The "update" buggered up our dcownloads section. I'm sure the money is trying to fix it. So - in the meantime - PM Adz.

John, I just had my G-max rebuilt by Jim Berry from Race Clutch in Qld (I'm from Melb but he does a great job at a good price). Its even stronger now that original and still super easy to drive. http://www.motorsportworld.com.au/outlets/raceclutch/

They are in the members section somewhere. Basically 4 classes. 4WD Mod 4WD Standard 2WD Mod 2WD Standard Mod = upgrades to 2 or more of fuel pump, injectors and turbo OR R Spec Tyres.
