Well everyone the event is done and dusted and was a total success. Big thanks to everyone that came along and also for coming along with the right attitude. These days are about having fun rather than anything serious and it seemed from what I saw that everyone was having a ball. But I have to give a special mention to all the guys that helped out on the day. Without you guys these events don't run so it makes you guys the single most important people on the day. And its not just the officals but also the guys cooking the BBQ, and even everyone taking the pictures and video footage so we can all enjoy the event all over again. So big thanks to you all. I hope at some stage you all also got at least a passenger run with someone if you wanted it. Also - both sets of members from each club needed to be congratulated on the manner in which you mixed and socialized together. There wasn't any segrigation and it helps us to encourge to do more future events involving both clubs. Infact I believe some of the clubs committee were really working on building intra-club relations..... But anyways - I'll get the results tablulated and posted as soon as I can. Thanks again to everyone. Cheers.

Yeah there was a shipment to Vic which only some stations got which is why I'm trying to find out which stations have some! I now know Bundoora and Birghton have some.
-
Not True Mr Admin Stealing Monkey. The shortage has affected the whole country apparently. Its just taken a while to filter through to here. But I've been told that we have had one shipment that will last a few station a few days but then we'll see nudda until Mid Dec. Apparently already a lot of Vic stations are out. And my work BP card says I don't want to use anything other than BP! LOL
-
Apparently due to a plant break-down in Perth there is a shortage of BP Ultimate in the state. (actually in the whole country) Has anyone seen any servo's in the last day or so that still has some?

After going through the exepnsive habbit of busting 2 sets of synchro's in the 1st 6 months I discovered the best thing you can do with your gearbox is learn to drive it propperly. Mind you - Troy did a masterful repair job the 2nd time around which has no doubt helped. But 12 months down the track and the gearbox still feels super (touch wood touch wood touch wood!)
-
Sorry mate - as I said in your original thread I'm already committed to do a mate of mines wedding that night. So I can't help you out I'm afraid. Oh - and YLWGTR is definitely no go.
-
gosh - *try and think back to way back when* - ok - they were for dog sets.
-
Hey David - Kylie isn't coming any longer unfortunately so I'll leave you where you are for now and we'll find someone else for you for camera duties. Because your current challenger had given me a special request to run against you as last time you guys produced VERY similar times (when Funboy wasn't hitting hats that is). Team Stock 350Z v Team Stock WRX. But last time all times for you 2 were seperated usually by <1s.

But if you REALLY want to go somewhere and see first-hand - Motorware and Evolution R are 2 ok places. http://www.motorware.com.au/www/web/index.asp http://www.evo-r.com/ But your paying more than you would from Green-line etc. Although I got my aluminimum GTR pedals from Motorware for $40 which I reckon is pretty good.

Excelent - the more camera's there the better! Thats ok - it's not that huge a deal to be there Tuesday night it's just to try and get a gauge on numbers so we can start to allocate jobs. The more people we have the easier it is. But as long as you are there by 8:15am on Sat thats the most important part.
-
No probs - I think Alan and Mav are going to wait at the McMoblil for me or something because I really dont know what time the wedding will finish.
-
pomejo - me, Chris, Aaron, Frank, Blaise and Sam are all going to this event. Aaron, Frank and Sam are going to produce some stupid fast times. Might even see one of them get into the high 1.30's there which is UNBELIEVABLE. Sam was in the white R32 GTR that was there for the Maserati Day at Sandown you attended. Cheers.

That's no problems mate.

Friday is just for people that dont want to get up at 4am. (And in Brisby's case for people that want to go to bed at 4am!)
-
I'll be heading up later afternoon on Friday as well. But I can't say exactly what time it will be right now as it will be after a wedding finishes but I'm guessing sometime between 5 and 6pm.

This day promises to be heaps of fun! But I can tell you from our calculations from expected event times we are super pushed for time. If people don't stuff around we'll get our full compliment of runs (minimum of 14) but if we don't start on time or we have people messing around on the skidpan, or if we have to wait for entrants to be ready the day will have to be cut short. So it's up to all entrants to be smart and on-time if you want to get your full alotment of runs.
-
He's not a club member so I can't help you out Chris.
-
Well listen - if there is a local one you are interested you'll always find someone from the club that will be happy to go with you and check it out. Otherwise one of the main workshops will do it for you - like Racepace, Ice Performance, AVO etc. Someone recently had one checked out.... somewhere (I can't remember where) and was impressed with their service. Hopefully they'll post up to remind me! LOL But as I said if you know of a car post it up and when you are going to go check it out and chance are someone from here can tag along. I know a few of us have been happy to check out a few for people in the past. Cheers.

Fixed the 2nd one for ya.

My suggestion is for all the people meeting up Saturday morning to do it at the Mobil / Macca's on the Hume in Broadmeadows at 5:30am with the intention of a 5:45am depature time. Melways ref - Map 7 - F6. This will put you halfway between these points in Pauls instructions. Continue along HUME HWY, COBURG NORTH 12.63 km 16 Mins Continue along HUME FWY, CRAIGIEBURN 15.97 km 18 Mins So based upon that a 5:45am departure time will get you there around 8:15am. I will need helpers there by 8:30am as we have to have the drivers briefing at 9:00am to get through the day, and all helpers will have to be briefed and given instructions beforehand. We are super pushed for time on this day so we can't have people being late.
