It's only has-beens that read the rules Stu - so that we can all sit back and pass judgement
If we were still competing we'd be too busy trying to prep cars to read rules!
Lambo's can't run 102 though (and they have also been banned from running E85 now. Well - the R35's have. And I'm pretty sure that 2 of the podium getters were running E85 last year as well).
Its only LMS and MS cars that can run either Elf or E85. SS are limited to 98RON.
But I'd be willing to bet a can of coke that Mazda will run the Elf.
See - your the perfect case to show why running E85 is bad.
Because your brain is obviously muddled these days and I can only put it down from inhaling too many E85 fumes.
Can imagine tyre life would become an issue however
In other Tarmac news - the guys at MM have released their 2012 calendar. I can see myself getting my rally fixes there next year.
Anyways - Targa regs.
The goal posts have moved...... again.
Elf 102RON is back (if you drive a Mazda RX8-SP) AND you can now change your twin turbo set-up to a single turbo arrangement.
So everybody strap on your Borg Warner EFR and go racing!!
Well it came off Berry's R34 - but not sure that equates to having 34 posts.
Still - it looks trick and is just sitting in a heap in my factory currently so may as well go to a good home if he wants it.
Haha - it's like the DECA back track. If people don't put cones on the corners into / out of the maneuvering area then "shortcuts" are there for the taking!
You're getting there Paul - you've come a long way since your first time out at Sandown that's for sure.
And anyone who has been doing this a while will tell you that under 1.22 is a hard thing to do.
And good work on joining the teen club Ant. Those last few little mods have made some big strides for you mate.
Having used RE55's, Dunlop M's and R's and the Yoki A050 M's for Tarmac Rallies I can say for a GT-R that the A050's win hands down.
I just wish they made them in bigger sizes
FWIW - A050 pressures are best around 34-36 too.
Worse case will be Nats but hoping to get to Sandown Maserati beforehand.
Had hoped for PIARC on Oct 2nd but not sure that's possible yet either since I don't even have an engine in my car currently! LOL
Is 'The EVO' the blue one?
Scotsman was faster than it at the test day because the thing was too laggy for this circuit. It was off cam coming out of all the chicanes. Much like it would be at Haunted Hills. A fast Haunted Hills car will be fast on this track more so than a fast Eastern Creek car.
Anyhoo - my car is still in bits so I'm out. Bummer too as I was keen for a crack at the Tuner Class as my new tyres are here and good to go.
