  1. Having said all of that I understand the Fangartists aint going to the semi's either so there is a chance to win a few of the awards they always hog for themselves.
  2. No accom from Mav so this is just a drivers / bike riders weekend. So far just me, Scotsman, Frank and Nige are entered for the Sunday I think.

    Go The Swans

I'm not afraid to use the "Ban" button.
  4. I'd definitely say Chef because there are times when I seriously have no idea what Brisby is saying.
  5. Yeah the VL was there as well. It's quick and Adam can steer as well. He really drove the wheels off it at Winton.

    Nur Anybody?

It's an M Spec Nur = the pointless one. GTR's aren't supposed to be a "luxuary" car. Soft suspension and leather seats - pffft! I'd much rather a standard V Spec and spend the $120K+ you have left over making into what-ever the hell floats your boat. But thats just my opinion obviously.
  7. Is that because he's your partner?
  8. Took 0.2s off PB at Winton on Sunday (1.35.0). Should be able to get into the 1.34's next time on the condition it a) it dry and B) I'm not full of Benalia Wang Busters from the night before. Have both Calder and PI in the next few weeks so will hopefully improve times for both tracks.
  9. There a special competition for the 1st person to correctly answer how many times 99 Red Ballons is on the dvd.
  10. Ben, Vic seems to run a little different to NSW. Winton has a practise day most Fridays and Calder most Wed but none of us really attended them because Calders practise days have dumb requirements (full race suit etc) and Winton is miles away. Sandown doesnt have any practise days available and Phillip Island only has them Available on the Saturday of these PIARC weekends of which this is the last one for the year. As a rule track days for us revolved around WRX Club sprints - which do offer "driver training - which is a non timed session with an instructor" or we tend to also attend PIARC as its the best track in Oz and Merserati Club events (which there is only 2 a year @ Sandown). So really as I mentioned the Vic GTR's will be out: Sept 24/25 for PIARC @ Phillip Island Oct 8th for WRX Club @ Calder Oct 23rd for Maserati @ Sandown And that will be it until Feb next year I expect. Oh - except for DECA Shepparton on Sat Novemeber 19th - but thats a motokhana event. Cheers
  11. Hey Ben - pretty much after Oct 23 (Maserati Dat @ Sandown) the racing calander comes to an end for the year and nothing much is on until the new season starts Feb 2006. Be great to see your car down here though one day!
  12. You guys should also know I got a text message from Hard Corey appologising for not being able to make it on Saturday night. He hopes we can let him know the next time we are coming up.
  13. Aaron already ran a 1.22.3 in his R34 which still has stock turbos and even stock suspension. Sure made me look like a hack.
  14. Yep. Since Im 2-3s faster than you but still 2-3s slower than Frank I'm in no mans land. Was half the reason I went home on Sunday as I knew I wasn't going to get beat by anyone other than Frank but knew you couldn't get near me. So go get some 2530's god dam it!! LOL
  15. Hey on the AVO Website it has a recent trip to Winton where it ran a 1.37.4. Thats the same time as Scotsman ran on the weekend to put it into perspective. Infact from memory he beat Scotsman at Sandown that day (but Chris did have a gearbox failure so didn't get a full days running) but I think it ran a 1.23 that day which sure aint slow.
  16. Well its currently a liberty thats holding 3rd place so.....
  17. The best GTST I have seen is owned by Lee Wilson who works for AVO in Cheltenham. Steve from AVO will be attending our next club meeting (just as a visitor) and hopefully Lee will be having a chat at the October meeting about his car and what they have done to it down at AVO. Here's a link to them. http://www.avoturbo.com/index.html
  18. Not sure mate. The Supra is coming to Phillip Island but thats all I know at this stage.
  19. Guys, Most of us still haven't recovered from the last round but the entries are now open of the next and final round of the WRX Club sprints and consequent last round for the SAU Vic Motorsport Club Championship. Sup Req's here: http://www.wrx.com.au/motorsport/calderoctsupreg.pdf Entry Form here: http://www.wrx.com.au/motorsport/AASAEntryForm.pdf As mentioned this is the last offical club round of motorsport for the next 3-4 months (prob until Feb 06). Consequently based upon previuos years experience this event sell out very quickly. From my understanding from last year the event sold out in 5 days. ALSO - it should be noted that Passenger Laps WILL be allowed again for this round. For reference in the Club Championship the following is possible for the last round. Class A Snowman will win Class A but Aaron can catch Scotsman for 2nd. Class B Ferni will win Class B and West will get 2nd but really anyone can come and take 3rd in Class as its being held currently by just 4 points due to minimal class entries this year. So anyone with a standard GTR or other 4WD could pretty much get 3rd in class here. Class C Is still very open. Roy is winning and could only be beaten by Gareth. However currently any of Gareth, Nige, Al, Wayne, Denham or Steve can finish 2nd or 3rd in class. Class D Ant will win class D but any of Scott, William, Pete, Dave, Ryan, Rianto, Anthony, Jarrod or Tom can finish 2nd or 3rd in class. Outright just 2 points seperate me and Ant for 1st and just 3 points seperate Scotsman and Brisby for 3rd so it will go down to this last round for most of the club awards.
  20. The only remaining Club Championship track day for the year is on Sat Oct 8th @ Calder. However there will be SAU guys attending both Phillip Isalnd on Sat/Sun Sept 24th with PIARC and also Sandown on Sun Oct 23rd with Maserati Club. I think the only other Winton event will be the December Fun Day - but thats not timed.
  21. Special mention has to go to a Track Day Virgin - Pete - for breaking a club record. Previously the club record for the most number of timed laps in a day was held by RUS with 18 timed laps. Pete - now to be known as Lap Junky - smashed the record with 24 timed laps. Thats a fair effort. We can all just be glad Gemma wasn't there with the video or else we'd all have to suffer through watching lap after lap of Pete do Winton. PS - offical times are up at: http://www.racetime.com.au/?event=w0509
  22. Its still on it will just be on in late November now so we'll remind everyone again once we have everything confirmed.
  23. Ant - there is also a couple of lads including Ash leaving around 4pm to come up. If you want to cruise with them PM Ash for a meet-up point.
  24. Actually Winton is ok fun in the rain. Not as fun as PI though. Calder and Sandown are TEH GHEY in the rain but Winton is ok. But as Hung mentioned the forecast for Benalia is better than for Melbourne on Sunday. Only spewin I'm going to miss the Sandown 500 on Sunday now because as mentioned Sandown is no fun in the wet.
  25. Everyone is welcome to come down but the actual SnS competition is only for SAU Vic Club members. Cheers.
