  1. I have a wedding to do that day so unfortunately I can't help out - otherwise would have been more than happy to.
  2. Darth Leewang. (yes he is under that helmet) And Leecan'tgetanine
  3. Where is ZOS these days? It moves every couple of months doesnt it??
  4. Alright, I want to go out on Saturday night but have absolutely no idea where is fun anymore cause I'm an old married bastard. I'd prefer something with music but preferably not "Hey Mickey" or anything from the Grease sound track if you know what I mean. Dance, RnB etc - anything like that is good. Also it can't be too a.n.a.l. as I'll be with a group of guys. Will be starting in South Melbourne so prefer around there, city, StKilda or Chapel. Suggestions?
  5. Yep. Tentative date currently is Saturday November 19th. Just a couple of things to finalise before we post it up.
  6. I'll also be speaking to Jim about another time he can come down. The good news is Jim was genuinely interested in coming to speak to us so I will either try and get him for the November dinner night or along to one of our usual club nights. I'll keep you all posted on discussions with him. So guys - fear not - we aren't going to let this disappointment stop us from trying to provide you guys with as many good things as we can.
  7. My only guess is some peoples mail filters sent the email to spam since it was sent to 140 odd recpients. I know I recieved the email however.
  8. Guys, Unfortunately we can't go ahead with this event as planned. We simply don't have the numbers or the finacial backing to run an event like this at this stage of the clubs existance. However - it doesn't mean we will be doing nothing. We have a secondary option for another dinner night to be held later in the year (I believe it will be on November 26th) which will be held in conjunction with the WRX Club. We will also use the date of October 1st to have a BBQ and Show n Shine day to celebrate the first year of the clubs existance. Full details for these events will be posted soon and we hope to see you all along to support the club.
  9. I'll be coming and then heading to Benalia from this event.
  10. This isnt a members area??
  11. Whats wrong with that???
  12. 100% yes. We have had a number of first timers so far this year without incident and so far we have 3 more coming to this event that will be 1st timers. Winton is by far the best track for it as well.
  13. Of coarse - whats a cruise without twisties?
  14. GTR wing = modified class. Next.
  15. He's a forklift driver for Coles!
  16. Thats Clarky.
  17. Don't take it to Benno then. He is the secret squirel king.
  18. ALSGTR is Clarky mate (White R33 GT-R) Last time I checked Clarky sure didn't look like a sheila.
  19. I don't think so mate. But then I haven't heard the results from the recent CAMS night where req's for Passenger sessions were being discussed.
  20. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond my control (aka my wife is having a baby in late October) - I won't know my availability for this event until really close to the date. So I really can't commit to it as much as I'd like to.
  21. Driver trainers get their own sprint session - but they are not allowed to participate in the super sprints at all. They will be allocated a driver trainer for the day.
  22. Gary - great idea for a thread. Will see if it can be stickied. But maybe can we also add 2 extra lines to it (as I've listed below). Reson for asking is that recently a few people I know with large brakes have puchased rims that don't have the required clearance. For example someone purchsed some 18 x 9.5's Works Emotion rims that don't for over 375mm rotors and another guy purchased some 18 x 10.5 Rays CE28N's that dont fit over 382mm rotors (but the TE37's do fit) Anyways.... Skyline model = R34 GTR Wheel diameter = 18" Wheel width = 9.5" Wheel offset = +12 Tyre size = 265/35/18 Modifications to fit = none Rim Type = Rays LMGT4 Rotor Diameter = 375mm Edit: I've since discovered that the stock R34 GTR rims don't fit over this size brake set-up. 365mm I think would be ok.
  23. No entry names usually don't go up for a week or so before the event. Apparently so far only 10 people have entered or something - but there will be a rush in the last 2 weeks. Whats you question on driver training??
  24. Ni - we have been looking into all possibilities for 3 months now. Unfortunately the only alternative is to not have anything like this style of event and just stick to basic BBQ's and cruises.
  25. Mmmm..... Benalia Wang Busters.
