  1. Well the poster says "All 2WD (Only) Cars Welcome" So - I'm guessing that means no 4WD....
  2. How about Winton for the SAU Nationals! (With a side trip to PI along the way)
  3. Which model Hankooks do you know? I've just ordered a 2nd set of 20" rims so I can do some meaning full back to back testing of the different rubber available.
  4. At least it wasn't the other one!
  5. Not sure if Marek is on these forums? (I know he hangs about on the EMO ones though) - but that's a great effort. It's inspired me a little and I think I will have to have a crack at this next year given it is essentially "Targa Spec" running on the OEM Dunlops (I presume?). Will be a nice fun new little challenge.
  6. Ok Jeff - that's kind of a weird post in here. But my sig refers to this - http://www.rallyresults.com.au/targa/TT2011/em_Classification_Leg5.pdf Have a nice day now.
  7. Russ - there's always PIARC in Oct and Nov for you to run a time there. I've been inspired by the whole WTAC thing and reckon I'm having a crack at Clubman next year in the new toy (because basically Clubman is Targa spec so it fits with the cars development). But what that means is you're going to be my bench mark - only I have to try and do it on street rubber!(Given you were 0.5s ahead of the winning Clubman time this year) So - 1.43's on the OEM street rubber is the eventual goal. It's going to be fun!!! (And scary!! LOL)
  8. Which part? The minor part or the rag part!!?
  9. GT Auto time just got erased?
  10. 1.34 is a massive effort. Huge well done.
  11. Really - it was just a matter of time before one of them did though. Bloody rotors!
  12. There is no live timing I'm pretty sure (at least there isn't today). The Super Special ClubWTAC website with "live updates" hasn't had anything on it new since yesterday. http://www.clubwtac.com/
  13. Yep - and Open Class is being headed by a 180sx too.
  14. My $$$ is on it being a rotor....
  15. Super effort from the Mercury guys too in the 1.34's on their maiden lap!
  16. Yeah you guys have done an awesome job to get to the start line Trent (Same with GT Auto) - but people's expectations need to be tempered a little. I'd hate for people to be disappointed if either or both cars don't produce a Hollywood number this year. I remember being told 3 years ago that "R35's will never make a good time attack car because they are just too heavy" - but both you guys have done a stellar job trying to prove this wrong. And I think most people now are starting to think that instead perhaps these are actually going to be the cars of the future. Good luck for the weekend anyways and I genuinely hope you surprise us all straight off the bat!
  17. Given both cars (R35's) are basically just built and untested if they can beat the High Octane R32 they will be doing very very well IMO. Both these cars are amazing bits of gear - but I think they will still need a few more miles under their belts - and a bit more tweaking - before their true potential can be realized. I don't think bolting them together and just doing 1-2 days testing will quite get them there yet. But anything under a 1.40 will be a really great effort. No doubt this year will be a massive learning year for them both - and look out seriously for them in 2012.
  18. All over the side of your car.
  19. Hey Paul - that would be super duper. I'll give you a buzz later (hopefully the new rego sticker should come in the mail in the next few days anyways that I will need to get to you).

    Track Wheel's

Just be aware that those Forgestar rims are cast - not forged (like their name suggests!) I think a few guys in the UK have reported some issues with them. So I hope they aren't another Rota special.
  21. Hey Jack - you wouldn't happen to have any old GT-R fitment 18 x 10.5's laying around unused I could borrow for a day?

    Track Wheel's

Advans new TCIII wheels are also designed for the R35 brakes. I'm currently trying to get a set of these myself.
  23. I reckon there could be some adjustments to the track trophies - there could be a large potential middle ground missing given what MIGHT come to this event in terms of out-right race cars. The TimeAttack series in QLD had a pretty easy to follow system that meant people with registered street cars on R Comps weren't competing with Superlap type cars. Those rules were: Street Class The Tyres must be DOT and ADR approved. All OEM Tyres (This includes the factory RE070 supplied by Subaru for the STI’s) The tyre tread wear rating must be 140 or above. The exhaust must be rear exiting with no screamer pipes. The car must be road registered. Must have OEM glass. Must have OEM doors. Must have OEM full dash. Must have all seats in the vehicle. (aftermarket seats allowed) Must have full interior in the car. Not allowed to be stripped out. Must not have in cabin adjustable brake bias or pedal box. Must not have in cabin adjustable brake bias or pedal box. Stock R35 GTR will run in Performance Class. Performance Class The Tyres must have a tread wear rating of 70 or above. This excludes all slicks with two grooves such as Hoosier, Kumho V710 etc. The exhaust must be rear exiting with screamer pipes allowed. The car must be road registerable (streetable car that could be registered). Must have OEM glass. Must have OEM doors. Must have both front seats (aftermarket seats allowed) Must have dash in place. Aftermarket instruments allowed. Must have basic interior in the front half of the cabin (removal of carpet, stereo etc and liner allowed) Must not have in cabin adjustable brake bias or pedal box. Race Class This is the almost no restrictions class. Outright race. No NOS. *Approved Tyre lists to be supplied for Street and Performance Classes.
