  1. Or you could put your other seat back in......
  2. Near Ice - would it be Meriddian Motorsport
  3. Thats what you get married for guys!
  4. Mate - maybe we can All go to Holliava for a few early drinks - then the southo's can venture south to our area to kick on and the northo's can verture up to geoff to once again try try try to get Roy's car ready.... and kick on.
  5. Ok - have decided on a central location cause we all live miles appart. Not a big night but for those wanting to catch up and have a couple of drinks and start boasting some rediculous predicted lap times *cough* 1.25 *cough* then come to: HolliAva - 36 Swan St, Richmond (opp station). I'd say maybe from about 8ish? I will have to travel further than anyone (except for Emre) so no complaining about the location. Catch those that come there!
  6. Hey man I am 5mins away frm depositing the $$$ - can do it from my very desk at any time. But aint going to fork over $400 and get nothing for MONTHS. As I have said before - when I know we are ready you will have the money. So you can consider you will have my money say next week when the rest are paying up.
  7. I called at 3pm. Actually all he said to me was "The 17's are the same price as previously quoted" so I just went off Matts intital price list (oh which I have just realised I have read the 18's not the 17's) Oops.
  8. People start turning up from about 7pm onwards. Meeting officially starts at 8pm.
  9. Ross - you can't break whats already broken! Looking forwards to seeing you beasty in action mate.
  10. Guys - Just an update on prices and sizes on these for SAU members - couple of changes. 235/45/17's - $347 (same) 255/40/17's - $363 (same) 225/45/18's - $360 235/40/18's - discontinued. 245/40/18's - $357 265/35/18's - $403
  11. I have had your guilitine in the back of my car for 2 weeks now! I was really hoping to get rid of it tonight. Maybe SAU raffle? LOL.

    Brakes

Depends on what you are after Heath. I now use the DBA brakes and I really like them. They have a heap of different types depending on the level of performance you are after. I got mine from Racebrakes in Nth Melbourne. You can get info on the different rotors DBA make at their website: http://www.dba.com.au/default.asp FYI - I'm running the DBA5000 slotted fronts and the DBA4000 slotted rears.
  13. You love your group buys Pete. Problem with the BBQ concept is we never know how many people are coming on the cruises. And most people dont want to bring their own food - they just want to buy something.
  14. Geoff you also live 3/4 of the way to Winton. LOL. Maybe we need to have a northern and southern drinking location and we can set-up a teleconference type deal. Bet there hasn't been too many teleconference pre-race drinking parties. LOL.
  15. I have so lost track on who is racing and who isn't this weekend! LOL Am I the only one still racing??
  16. Guys - in the usual tradition of track days this year it is customary to pretty much hit the bottle the night before. So whats the thoughts on meeting up for a drink (or 2) on Saturday night before the Maserati Day this weekend? :alcoholic
  17. Simon - here mate http://www.prospec-ms.co.uk/NUR/index.html PS - you can't have one!
  18. Just a reminder guys that this is on tomorrow night. Should have some DVD footage of the Phillip Island weekend and maybe even some from Saturdays cruise / Sundays driver training. Also - for all the guys that are doing the Sprint on Sunday but dont know the track I will be putting up the Sandown simulator and giving a quick run over the track with some advise so you don't go into this track blind and expected to be at full race speed.
  19. Ok - well done to all that attended the day. Really good stuff. Was super impressed to even see a couple of guys in 100% stock skylines - including a stock auto skyline. I think everyone got a lot out of the day and a better appreciation for the limmitations on their cars and their own driving and how much both can be improved. But I also have to say that by the end of the day everyone was driving a lot better than at the start - and thats what these days are for. Again well done. heartbrkr - I have to say that the auto had me slightly stumped. It might be good in traffic but I dont think its benifical on the track. LOL. Either that or you need someone a lot better at instructing than me to give you some advise! LOL. GTTR34 - I would say that in all my short "passenger" sessions you improved the most between the first lap I was in the car and the last. rs73 - you are the ripple strip king. If there was a competition for the person that drove over the most ripple strips you would have won by miles. LOL kingkw13 - kev your car is awesome. The power delivery and the balance of that car is first rate. By the end of the day you seemed to be flying. Nick and Mark - good to see a GTR out there - and one spinning infront of us. haha. Big thanks to Tom G for letting me take his car for a spin at the end of the day. Hope your heart beat has returned to normal. Was good to see what a stock R32 GTS-T was like to drive around there as opposed to a slightly worked GTR. Again great day - great turn out of supprot from the non participating SAU guys too. Thanks must go to Greg (blind elk), Kayrn and the rest of the NDSOC crew for a terriffic event. Everyone got a lot of laps in to the point where I think by the end of the day everyone had had enough. This is held every year and I hope next year we'll see some more guys out there giving it a shot.
  20. Thanks to everyone that showed up - hope you all had a good time. And I have to have the big appologies for the minor errors in the cruise route / cruise notes. The only section we didn't cover on the scouting cruise had about 4km's of gravel. We do these scouting cruises to make sure there IS NO GRAVEL or otherwise "unskyline friendly" roads but if you knew how many roads we travel in these scouting cruises and how many we have to scrub off you will know that sometimes its almost impossible to cover every km - so you rely on stupid things like maps for giving you acurate information. But again sorry for that inconvenience. And also with the Beenak Rd thing (for those that went home the "easy way" from Healsvile you won't know about this little issue) Shame cause for me that last section was the most enjoyable for the day. But otherwise, the weather was nice, the roads were never boring, and the cars we fantastic. Big thanks to James for giving me Golgo for half the cruise and to Brandon for taking me home.
  21. There is someone from here who will have to pull out (Adzmax) so if you are interested maybe you could take his spot. It will be cheaper to do that anyways as we have past the "early bird" cheaper rates day. Also guys - I know its not as helpfull as being there but at the Club meet on Tuesday night I will bring my PS2 along (so that we can watch Shiv's DVD from Phillip Island on the big screen mostly) but also to give any first timers to Sandown a quick run through on the simulator the layout of the track. After spending a lot of time there yesterday with first timers to this track I have remembered just how difficult it is to find the fast way around this track if you don't have someone to give you some advise.
  22. You will see them next Sunday boy.
  23. In seriousness - down here in Vic all the fast cars are GTR's and in NSW they are GTST's. But is seems in Vic all the serious track guys drive GTR's and in NSW the serious guys drive GTST's. Next weekend down here will be interesting as we have a big track day with I think about 15 skylines attending. About half GTR's and half GTST's. We all know the fastest car will be Ben (GTR) but other than that it will be interesting to see how many GTST's will beat any of the GTR's. Some might beat Emre - but he belongs in NSW! (LOL - just kidding mate!)
  24. You will get a lot more track time at this training day than you would at a sprint day I garantee.
  25. I think its more of a Polar thing actually. So closer to the equator is good for GTST's but closer to the Poles is good for GTR's. So I think the GTR's would own you at Nurburgring.
