  1. The one in Winton Crt Moorabin is very close to Ice mate. I think you should go there and check them out and let me know if they are any good cause I want someone to check over my suspension too.
  2. Hey - from memory you guys wanted to watch some Gwenith Paltrow movie or some such shite! At least rugby is a big step up from that crap! Still - we might have to do some flicking to the footy scores in the boring bits of the rugby (hang on - thats most of isn't it?)
  3. Contact n1 distribution in clayton - they are the local distributors of c-west kits so they may be able to help you out.
  4. Oh - and Heath - I'm definitely interested in test driving the car! haha.
  5. Rugby? Damn I will be getting drunk out of shear boredom. JL - its definitely on this weekend. There are a number of guys from here coming down on the Sunday to watch - so if you are interested in cruising down to have a look maybe you might want to cruise down with them?
  6. Ok, thats me (obviously) Adz and Roy ready by 7:00pm in PL. Everyone else fine for that time??
  7. Ok - discussing all this in PM's is a little hard. Whats everyones plans on when they can be ready to head down? Ferni - you staying down Sat night or heading home?
  8. Andrew, your making this harder than it needs to be! Follow these steps and you'll be right. Step 1. Go to K-Mart. Step 2. Find the fire extinguishers (they only sell about 2-3 of them) Step 3. Select the cheapest 0.9kg one they have. Should be in a cardboard box and come with a black metal bracket. Step 4. Go home and attach it to the lower rear seat mounting point. Step 5. Get a beer and congratulate yourself on a job well done. (I know you don't drink but this final step is an important one)
  9. This is what I have done and what I told Chris to do - which Im pretty sure he did do. The k-mart extinguisher comes with the mounting braket yes. All you need to do is unscrew the bolt and put it back in with the braket in place. It makes the extinguisher a tight fit but it can be closed. Steel valve caps are exactly that. Why you need them Im not 100% sure - maybe they just want everyone to have a little bit of rice on their car? I dunno (its probably more to do with tyre pressures or something scientific but I like to believe its for the rice factor)
  10. The distributor in Victoria is: Traction Tyre Center - 65 Kellets Rd - Roweville Vic - PH. (03) 9764 2811. I have bought and used the A048's from these guys earlier in the year.
  11. Ferni, 1 - Fire Extinguisher - maybe speak to Chris (Scotsman) as to where he mounted his. I'm sure he didnt drill any holes. Also - if you haven't bought one yet then K-mart is the place to shop. You'll buy the same extinguisher that they have at race shops for half the price. (mine was $29) 2 - skylinegeoff will be best to answer this as he uses rope. 3. Steel Valve Caps - - go to Autobarn and get them - should cost about $7. Just out of curiosity - is there anyone thats coming for both days that hasn't payed yet? My co-driver may be pulling out so I might have a paid up (and discounted) entry.
  12. Definitely the club is made up of about 80% R33 GTS-T's! lol. But its open to all Skyline Owners, plus all people that like them and also enjoy a chat and a good schnitz. I still haven't decided which one Im going to have tonight. LOL.
  13. I was going to wait until we got the official DVD. Hopefully that will have more footage and be better to watch.
  14. They showed about 5 secs of my Winton footage! haha. We got a couple of shots of both my car in action and then Golgo (plus James ugly mug at the end). We are going to try and contact the company that did the footage and get the whole Winton thing sent to me. I loved the pics of the Gleeny/Gainsmith R32 rear wheel where you really got an appreciation of the HIACS working.
  15. BTW - does anyone know what the deal is with passengers on the Sat? Can you take them? Also - had to have a laugh. Current forecast is for 10deg in Melb for Sat. Which means PhillIp Island will be about 4deg. LOL. Hope the meterologists are wrong (again).
  16. Ok - quickly - my 2 cents. I was another of the idiots that stood around in the cold and the rain to check the car out. I admit I mostly just stayed under cover and tryed to get warm. The crack on the front bar was quite obvious and you would want to get that attended too pretty quick. And I will also tell you that the car is LOW (espec for an R34 GT-T). The front bar will be an easy one to crack. We didn't get a look in the boot but there was a nice 100Amp cable connected to the battery and the car definitely sat lower in the rear so I don't know what he had going as far as a stereo system goes - but I presume its fairly serious. But for me - even as is I thought the car was a pretty good buy. If you can get a few more $$$ off then half your luck. It wasn't the cleanest R34 I've seen before but with all the extra's on it it sure is good value for money. And the kit / wheels/ lowered springs looked good. BTW - in case you missed it - it was farken cold and wet!
  17. yep - will be me and the mrs as well if theres room for both nights. I've also got the bitch along too (thats Gerald). We have paid up for both days already. I'm definitely not driving up Sat morning. Must stay there Friday night. We have 2 options to meet up beforehand. We can either meet at my place as is its 99% on the way (just down Thompsons Rd) - or we can meet at the huge service center on the corner of the gippy freeway and Thompsons Rd (BP, Macca's and Red Rooter)
  18. Hey if you are going tomorrow I might tag along in my current Ultra ricey R34. My car looks even crazier than yours currently Adz!
  19. Roy, I've never been to PI myself but everyone whom has been there has given me one simple bit of advise. "Make sure you have good brakes". I agree it seems to be rather flowing but not having been there myself I guess you just have to listen to the advice of other who have.

  21. meh - Dutton last weekend and PIARC the following weekend - I can go one weekend without hitting 200km/hr.
  22. Both me and Roy were looking at attending this day (because Roy said 1:25's around Sandown would be easy and he's never even been there before!) - but that damn thing was sold out in a few days and we missed out. And my car is better already. Thanks to ylwgtr2 for having a "spare" clutch and for Gerald who has hardly done anything other than work on my car / clutch / gearbox in the last few weeks. haha.
  23. Ok - who needs a SAU Membership for THIS Event? We will be doing most of them at our offical Membership Day in September but I know a few want one for this event. So far I have as definites: Adzmax Ferni IceSupra. Anyone else need to get a membership?
