  1. I did Marty. It will be good to get back into an R35 and really have a chance to develop one. I hope you guys got your car started up - don't break my consult!
  2. I hope you have further updates on when the aero is due to arrive mate? Looks like I've bought the toy I was up there looking at on the weekend so I might try and get to the Nissan day on the 26th with you all before bringing it home.
  3. You know Newton runs an R34 rear sub-frame in Big Red right Russ?
  4. Yeah Cadwell Park looks awesome fun. Looks like a country road more than a race track.
  5. Yep - but I've been told the warranty is void if I turn the auto-tone off.
  6. Richard - 2012 is locked in for April already. Don't miss the boat... PS - your new purchase is so you Brisby.
  7. Sorry - I didn't know I was supposed to let everyone know I purchased a new printer. It's a nice HP color laser - does 8p/min in full color!
  8. Yeah but driving through paddock fences is ok. It just adds to the occasion.
  9. Dunno - I reckon that course could use a few more chicanes / slaloms,....
  10. Yeah..... +1 This is about as exciting as rotors get. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jv4m41viy4I&NR=1
  11. Correct - it was only the few 08JDM imports that came in that had the LC1. All Oz delivered cars had at least LC2 that you could launch without the VDC being off. The only warranty concerns were if you switched the VDC off - but you could launch all you liked.
  12. Yeah it was great and again much appreciated. We learnt a lot and have a list of things we want to look at ourselves now going forwards. Good luck today and we look forwards to hearing the results. Remember - double undies!
  13. Toughen up Princess! PI is the best track in Vic in the wet to drive on. LOTS of room for catching slides. Plus - what are you going to do if its wet and windy @ Superlap?
  14. I wouldn't be too concerned Harry about an advantage. There was only 3 of them doing full laps and they did maybe 5 laps each on the final design? I was driving my Touareg! and only was only driving it through the high speed S section on the back straight. (I never did a full lap even as a passenger. I never even went onto the bank - but I have driven it back in 2006) So given a) the track will be fairly different with water barriers to what it is with witches hats, b) the track will be different to the test day - it was more a concept design day to an exact lay-out design and c) everyone will do probably 20-30 laps before timing even starts I wouldn't worried about the guys who did a few laps having a huge advantage.
  15. They wouldn't work on the main track at Calder either for that matter! LOL
  16. That looks Super. R34's should all come with this kit.
  17. PIARC Days you can ALWAYS enter on the Day. If you go both days you can enter both of them on the Saturday. Just bring cash because that's all they'll take though. But for you mate I'd just switch back to the 4 x 9.5's and go for it. Those tyres will be fine given you won't be going flat out just yet. There was one tyre that was pretty sad but I think it's on one of the 10.5? Just check and don't use that one.
  18. Nice vid Andrew. Sums it up much better than I did!
  19. Yeah but Close's cage did NOT meet CAMS requirements and as such was never able to be log booked. Under AASA that didn't matter - not sure what he has planned going forwards though. Stupid though as Maher sure proved it was up to a serious whack!
  20. It has to do with the floor. Its that carbon/balsa composite stuff which makes welding a cage into impossible (so you need to bolt plates through the floor for attachment.
  21. Hey Russ - I like PIARC Saturdays. Longer sessions (timed 20mins rather than 3 flying laps) - so usually 8 or so laps. It really lets you get into a rhythmic around that place. Presuming the car is up to it. Of course as with all PIARC days clean laps is pretty hard (in fast cars anyways) since there is no grouping really. But if you stress less about times and just get a feel for your car and the track then you will get a lot of of those days. It would be a great weekend for you too Paul if you can get there. Just make sure you manage your tyres there (keep and eye on the front right tyre and rotate the tyres around the car if needed).
