Hey everyone. I enjoyed the cruise - thought it was just right given the conditions. Thanks to Adz that did a great job infront. Also - I was at The Pub. Got there about 9:30ish I guess and left about 10:30 as I didnt see anyone.

Blade - yes - where that blue 26 is basically is where the car park enterence is. Its great weather for it hey!?

tism are awesome - I love em. Might have to think about checking them out. "Can't get a laugh out of Steffi Graff when you tell her all her friends are a bunch of back stabbers. But at least she didn't kick an own goal against Columbia" Funny stuff.

Good luck getting Nige out of Bed at 10:30 on a Saturday. -

-
I bet there's not too many E55's that have gone through the abuse you've given yours Simon mate! lol. I might even come down to watch to see how you go mate.

Terry Rees @ Bell Duke in Elsternwick is our business accountant. Also is the accountant for guys such as Castrol Perkins Racing and Greg Murphy Motorsport.

Ok - cool. The Pub at Crown @ say 9:00pm for anyone that wants a social drink (or 2). hb - me and Adz did the run Tuesday night and the roads were pretty good on the main tourist road but were a little cruddy on the run between Munbulk and Emerald. However, for your peace of mind the speed limits have all been reduced in this area. Basically now the whole area is either 60 or 70km/hr - and there were a number of police out checking the speeds Tues night. I'm definitely going to be cruising as I have less than one week to go on my 0 points left situation after 8 months (I get 3 points back on July 1st! ) As for what it would be like as a dawn run - well I've never done it but Im quite sure most of the roads are on the western side of Mt Dandy so there should be very little sun glare. But I'm guessing things could be a little frosty this time of the year.

I have to say my fav spot in Oz is Cairns. Try and get up there once a year. Got some great roads up there that I'd love to tackle in something more powerfull than the Metz I usually rent! lol. And the nights are full of generally hot locals to try your luck on and ****ty English Backpackers as a fail safe to fall back on if things aren't going well! And Roy we'll change your mind on Melbourne when we get you onto Sandown and Phillip Island.

Alright - did a quick run last night with Adzmax and everything was ok other than the roads being covered in crap in some places. So details are: Meet Point and Time Sat June 26 - 4:00pm Upper Ferntree Gully Train Station Carpark West End of Carpark From there we'll go up to the top and try and get a few good pics as the sun sets, then a a short casual cruise down through Monbulk and Emerald and back to FG. Nice simple cruise in what is currently forcast to be crap conditions! Social Meet-up. Ok - so far I've had suggestions on: 1. The Pub @ Crown 2. Bridies on Chapel 3. Elephant and Wheelbarrow in StKilda (as starting points). I know Matt's opinion but what do others think? I was planning on eating before I went out. It was really just meant to be a drinking thing.

I was in Sydney on the weekend. I was glad to be getting back on the plane Sunday afternoon. I stayed on George St for the weekend. Apparently in Sydney you can stick a 3" exhaust on anything and drive up and down all night keeping me awake. NSW sucks.

I dont see a return to Williams by Jacques Villuneuve but instead see both Mark Webber and Anthony Davidson driving for Williams next year. Davidson's times in the Friday practice sessions have been super impressive so he would make an interesting partner for Webber at Williams. Although a new twist came up the other day in that apparently Ferrari recently made enquires into Mark Webbers contract. I personally expect Ferrari to replace RB one year out from when MS plans to retire with someone they think they can groom to be the next world champ. I'd prefer to see Webber in a Williams to see if he's more than just a driver and whether given the resources can help develop a team, but putting him in a red machine next to Michael would be interesting for a year.

yeah yeah yeah. I will do the scouting either tonight or tomorrow night and find the best meet-up point and post all the details up. But it will go ahead with a meet-up time of 4pm on Saturday.

I had dinner (and quite a few beers) with Gerald last night and raised the issue of the sump baffle. He said that they only started to recommend one once you got over the 350kw @ the wheels mark.
-
I have no plans to put one in any time soon. Gerald from Ice will be racing my car with me and if he thought it needed one he'd tell me but he doesnt think its necessary.
-
No I dont have a sump baffle and havent experienced any problems even on my big day at Sandown when I did about 50 laps! (Gearbox aside that is! lol) The only thing I'd say is advisable is an oil cooler. And if you are going to do as many laps as possible on the open days then you also want good brakes.

Roy mate - I was just going to look up a cheap motel in Benella. Its only a short drive to Winton from there and we should be able to find a half decent pub somewhere there.
-
well my engine is ok mate - but I busted my gearbox last time out so my wallet feels your pain.

Good to see the latest speed junkie join the ranks! Hey maybe we should have some group theapy sessions or something? "Hi my name is Snowman and Im addicted to track days. I had my first hit in Feburary and at the time I was just doing it for a bit of fun. But now if I don't get that speed hit that only the Track can offer I start to shake. I've tried burning a few HSV's at the lights but the hit just isn't the same. But I find comfort in knowing there is others like me out there."

Brad / Jarrod - I'm fully open to suggestions for this cruise! It was really just a simple plan I had anyways as the area isn't massive. I was thinking we should try and meet at the base in FGully. And get up the top at 5ish as it will just be getting towards sunset and should look pretty cool. Then head down to Monbulk via the Olinda - Monbulk Rd as that road rocks, then make the way back to FGully. But as I said any other idea's are more than welcome. But remember - twighlight at the end of June and possibly a decent number of cars so about as bad conditions as you can get so I want to keep things simple and safe for everyone. Its more of a meet-up than a typical SAU cruise this one. Also - it seems a few people are keen for a social drink too. Any suggestions? In town somewhere or say chapel st? Be good to either go somewhere that will get better as the night goes on but is still fun to start - or somewhere thats close to the action for later.

When I first went to Sandown I was told that anything under 1.30 was fast. I know at Phillip Island the time to get is anything under 2.00. NFI about Winton yet. I know Donald ran 1.24's at Sandown in a 200sx which only has suspension and brake mods (and a big wang) on the weekend. Thats impressive.

I'm trying to get some of those loose throw style car seat covers for the new scooby. I dont want the normal tight fitting ones. I've been to the usual outlets (autobarn / repco / supercheap) and they only do one with massive "NOS" symbols all over it. Anyone know where I can get some simple ones?
