  1. I know Peninsula Car Audio in Frankston sell Boston. The owner down there name is Dave - good bloke that you can usually work a deal on.
  2. Man - count yourself lucky you were informed 4 days later. I ordered 2 back issues that were listed on the HPI website and wasnt informed until 3 weeks later that I wasnt going to get them!
  3. Like the topic states my car is getting through the gear stick only a large vibration when in 3rd - but ONLY when it is on boost. Its not felt in any other gear and disappears immediately when boost stops. It doesnt feel like a transmission issue - more of a ressonance thing. Ive put it on a dyno also to see if it might be a mapping issue or something - but for what ever reason on the dyno the vibration doesnt happen! All the housing mounts have been checked and are all tight. The counter weight is there. Anyone else have any other ideas as to what may be causing this?
  4. I hope to come and meet some people and find out about the club! The only thing stopping me will be the level of hangover left over from Derby Day.
  5. yeah you would have - needs to be done 15 days before the mag release date. Website - kinda. All ads in unique cars go on carpoint.com.au web site for a month - the web site advert gets an extended description as well. I used the website to place my add however - but remember to go back an change the option from standard to 1/8 color page which you cant do when you first set up the add. Costs more (about $100 total) but is worth it. I bought a few issues and looked at the ads and descriptions that caught my eye and used those as a basis for my ad. But yeah - your next opportunity will be for the mag realesed at the end of Nov. Hope that helps and good luck!
  6. My advice is unique cars mag. I tried all sorts of forums and cheap web sites for 6 months for basically no respose. Put it in unique cars - 1st week had 15 calls - sold it to best offer 6 days after mag was released (sold interstate too). Was great. Still getting calls now and the next issue is due out next week. I also bought my Skyline from there too.

    Mines ECU's

    cheers
  8. Hey all, Tomorrow I finally get my skyline! It already has a few modifications so I was planning on leaving it as is for a while. However - one of the modifications is a Mines ECU. Now I've done some research on the forums and from what I gather there is no way to tune a mines ecu other than to send it back to mines. Since the car has been in Oz there has been no mods done to it and so far the only other mods are exhaust, FMIC and pods. But is there any way to be sure that the ecu has been tuned for these mods? Or am I better off just putting a Power FC into it to be safe as I understand also the mines ECU's are set for a higher RON grade fuel than we have? I dont want to have to spend $$$ unnecessarily but I also dont want to kill the car. cheers.

Hey all, Tomorrow I finally get my skyline and boy am I excited! It already has a few modifications so I was planning on leaving it as is for a while. 10. Im due to get my skyline finally this week and would love to meet some people from here as well. Id find Sunday afternoons the best - at a nice beer garden somewhere.
  11. Ive heard so much about this damn series but never seen it so Id like to have a look.
  12. Id be interested in it. The $250 includes the pics? Me and the wife were given one of those StarShots vouchers for 2hrs worth of professional studio photo's which was a great pressy BUT the photo's were an extra cost depending on the number you wished to keep. Also - can we provide our own models? My Mrs scrubs up alright!
  13. Damn - that purple GTR looks to have M Spec leather seats! Any word on what they were asking for it?
  14. Also - theres one in Melb 4 sale thats in the 4 $ale section thats $75K http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...&threadid=25385
  15. Also note that you still can't import them yet. Last word I heard was it was still going to be "up to 20 weeks away" for a GTR R34. So dealerships are a difficult place to find a R34 right now. But powerplay have 3 R34's but the cheapest is $118K up to $170K! powerplay = http://www.powerplayimports.com/content.html
  16. Yeah Ive had my car advertised on the net and had no response through carpoint but when the Unique Cars publication with the same add came out I got heaps. They came as a package but all my responses were from the mag (with a color pic). The mags are good because many people dont know what they are looking for and the mags give them new ideas where as the net requires people specifically after your type and model. (if that makes sense!?)

    Car colour

  18. Daily Driver: Ford XLS Ute Year: 2000 Color: Navy Best Features: You can chuck sh1t in the back. Work pays for the fuel. Worst Features: Where to start?? Firstly I guess - its a Ford! Others include lack of passengers (my other car is a 2 seater as well currently), guzzles fuel - I know I said I dont have to pay but I have to fill it with 80L on a regular basis which anoys me!, damn dodgy to drive in the wet (but fun!) Would I drive it again by choice: No What Would I Drive Again if by Choice: If I had to still have the tray for work Id like either a Nissan Nivara or Holden Rodeo both 4x4 Dual Cab. Or if I could make it a wagon an Audi Allroad Quattro 2.7T would do just fine!
  19. I test drove one of the EVO VI TME editions when there was a limited number brought out a few years ago and thought it was awesome. One of the nicest road cars that has a great mix of daily drivability and performance when you want it. Alot of these performance cars dont feel so nice to drive under normal traffic conditions but the EVO wasnt one of them. There has been a number for sale in most of the recent Unique Cars mags at reasonable prices. But will be harder to re-sell than a GT-R R33 long term especially if the EVO VIII due here early next year is as good as they say.
  20. Taxi driver in Vegas TD: "Whats the weather like in Austrailia now?" Me: "Its summer in Australia now so quite hot" TD: "Really!!? It's Winter here now. So when is your Winter then?" Me: "Um... June" TD: "Wow thats when our Summer is! Thats Amazing!" I cried too - just after I told him to stop at the next corner!
  21. I didnt read the chart and got a medium and its probably a bit too big! (future buyers beware!) But then the medium long sleve fits perfect! They look great. Got red and blue t-shirts and a black long sleve.

    SAU t-shirts

It originally said 10 working days which will make it next Tuesday. The sample shirts in the original thread look great!
  23. My NSX is tiptronic and I would have to say that a manual is far superior. I have also driven a number of other tiptronic cars and the thing I have found in all of them is you actually get better performance out of them in normal "auto" mode than you do in tiptronic - which is dumb. The ONLY good thing about a tiptronic car IMO is when you are in crappy traffic - then you can put it into auto for all the stop starting.
  24. Shit - I nearly missed out. Thought this was going to be like the cap/beanie deal and take 18 months to organise!
  25. And I thought GTR-34 was on a blue Spec II?
