  3. I'm pretty sure the hillcimb part of Hothom is a no nav event? There is a full rally running at the same time that does need a Nav but pretty sure you can't run a Nav for the actual Hillclimb.

  5. Yeah me! I think I was in under PSCRV membership as I had that most handy at the time. Sadly I didn't get a flying lap on Sunday (only Blaise got a session) but had a blast on Sat in the new little machine. Will be back out again soon.

Best solution for this race series is to use the SCAA - it's far less of the death trap. lol Any word on if I'm running late on whether I can still join in at say 8:30 or something presuming the actual race hasn't started yet? Not sure on the protocols as to whether you can skip practice and quali?

Has a tonne of parts and can be used for Targa, Sports Cars / Aust GT's or else just use it as an epic track day / WTAC car (there is even an R35 specific class at WTAC now). Price is $95K but has well over $100K worth of parts and upgrades.   14. Exactly. I was told this last year as there was a "slicks class" thread so I came to a couple and I know Paul did too but still nothing happened. So we went to Maserati and PIARC days instead. But I'm asking again. I mean the Racepace R33 GT-R is now on slicks and they are a club motorsport sponsor but there is still no facility for cars with slicks to run in our motorsport championship.
  15. So - there are now 4 of us I know on slicks. (including one of the club sponsors) Is the club ready to start an Open Class yet or should we all just continue to go to PIARC events?
  16. Yeah I was at PI yesterday and I haven't seen anything that fast down the straight before. Was very impressive.
  17. Yeah we had our first test day yesterday and were miles off the pace. It's going to be a real challenge for both of us to get there. Neither of us could go flat through turn 1 even though we know the car is capable. Brain just doesn't compute that it can do it and so makes the leg lift off the loud pedal still. And we also both had some big off's yesterday as well so we have a lot to learn. But I'm excited to do something completely new. The blue car below is the car we'll be running in next year.
  18. Yep - got a chance to race in the Radical Australia Cup next year with Adam Newton and so thought a new challenge sounded exciting. Hopefully someone will pick this up and runs with it as I think it will be damn good thing as a Sports Car.

  20. We actually tune the car on 98 and then run P100 for the extra safety margin as it's soley a race car. For a street car you would get a performance bonus if the car was tuned specifically for P100 over the 98.
  21. A couple of updates. Door's were finished with some bracing to hold the windows and mirrors in place. Also the intake side of the brake coolers have been done. Really this was a test set-up and we'll make a nicer more permanent solution now that we know that the concept is sound. Definitely we have improved the temps of the rotors - however the first race at Sandown last week showed that 10 laps was now overheating calipers / boiling fluids. So the next step will be in looking into what we can do to assist with that. And here are a couple of pics of the car on both the wet set-up (TE37SL's) And on the dry rims (TE37 RT's) More to come soon including more work at weight saving and working on improving front end grip.

  23. My car is a test bed for Penrite currently. They have provided us with oils and have been taking regular samples after each motorsport event. So far there have been no issues with it at all.
