  1. It was posted up a long time ago (by the Australian HKS agent who sold it to him no less! LOL) that he was running the full HKS 570 exhaust package.
  2. Klark Quinn was also excluded for running a 2.2L engine in his EVO. It will be interesting to see the fall-out from all of that. The stupid thing about TQ's car is that other than weight there is no real benifit been found for running the full exhaust systems in these R35's. So there is no real reason for him to be doing it. A 2.2L in an EVO is a different matter however! I think it would be good to see them crack down on these strokers though as they seem pretty rife through-out the sport.
  3. I really rate the KW stuff but am not sure it's available for R32's. But it will be at the top of my list should I decide on a new car next year.
  4. Quinn and Jones are killing it over in Perth. Has been a good up and down battle between the 2 of them so far this weekend.

As far as I'm aware the answer to that is No. But I agree it would be a nice thing to have.
  6. Well I just faxed through my 2010 TWP entry form. Fingers crossed I make it into the field since it looks like I may have left things a bit late! Other than Dutton/ATC W.A. in Oct I didn't really have anything else planned between now and TT10 so I needed to give myself something to look forwards too. And I watched my all too breif footage from TWP last year last night which still makes me laugh (James with his "Farking AIRBORNE.... hehehe.... Jesus Christ!") so I figured I better go back and try again.
  7. And true to her word she has now entered in next years season as a driver - in a '91 Nissan GTi-R.
  8. Here's a few extra DMG ones!
  9. You mean good on Kim Ledger.....

It was posted in another thread but incase you missed it: $1400 for just the controllers (which have the USDM and JDM base maps which can be used for Aussie cars but they aren't prefect) or $1600 if you want the Aussie done Stage 1 and 2 Maps installed as well. (Which if you ask me is the cheapest +75awkw's ever!) and any full custom tune through R.E.Customs in Vic was going to be $1500.00
  11. I can tell you all the Tassie car is now a recce car rather than a race car but it still lives. How that one has been arranged is a WHOLE other question which I didn't ask but there you have it. The new car is a NEW car. FYI - they originally brought in 5 R35's when they were first released so it's not like they don't have one going spare. I spoke to Steve last week actually and he's pretty pumped for Tagra West. He says he learnt a hell of a lot from the first car (I'm sure especially in shocks and tyres/wheels - I'll be suprised if you see him on 19's again!) and he also has the tuning software from Cobb rather than just the base tunes Cobb supplied (my little tinkering alone has shown how much extra can be gained over the base cars with that software). So expect him to do rather well again I'd say.
  12. It's the most mental thing ever - it's just a shame the coverage is so crap.
  13. Yeah look - I'd really like to spend some more time in a less electronically controlled car. Although - I'm happy to keep ABS but I'd really like to spend some more time in RWD. I found I tended to turn in WWAAAYYYY to early in the Caterham simply because I didn't trust the rear end (and knew I didn't have the magic ATTESSA to get me out of trouble should it arrive). But I definitely think a light weight RWD car can be as fast as our fat GT-R's (as Newton is starting to prove already) and I think the experience of driving something like that can greatly help improve me as a driver anyways. I know what I want to build - it's just going to be some time before that happens so I will be sticking to what I know for a while anyways.
  14. Spa wasn't cheap - it was basically $6K for the car and 2 days of track time (So it was $3K ea.) - but which included all the fuel, tyres (we went through 2 sets of front Avon Race tyres in the 2 days and the set of rears were ready to be tossed as well!) and all the coffee, cordial and biscuits you could manage. It was open pit from 9am - 6pm both days and you could do as many laps as you liked. (Although they did ask we try and keep it to 40mins / hour to give the car a rest). You could do it with 4 of you and still get more than enough track time - we sat around doing nothing for a good part of the time simply because it was 35degs so we were exhausted.
  15. Actually - the lappy that turns the pictures pink runs Vista. I've also tried using Adobe Premier Pro on that lappy and it imports the video's upside down! (Go figure). This lappy works fine and its not as powerful as that other one - but it runs XP. So....
  16. Yeah I can't get WMM to work on one of my PC's either. In needs a good stack of RAM to work propperly it seems (My other lappy turns all the files a weird shade of pink - go figure!)
  17. Entertaining moments at Spa by Snowy - Dane - yeah I'm just using Windows Movie Maker to edit them.
  18. Says the man who drove though a fence (twice)! The good news is I have a collection of more commical moments uploading now. And yes they are snowflakes my good man!
  19. No mention from Jonny about the slightly less than perfect drivers chair?
  20. That looks awesome! I wish I was there! Oh wait..... The funny thing is that whole trip was a spur of the moment trip (I had to go to Europe for work) and the whole thing was organised in less than 2 weeks (infact a whole bunch of it we just made up when we got there truth to be known). But it was definitely one of those "Hey this is a once in a lifetime opportunity things - should we do it?" And I'm so glad we did. It was awesome fun and I think it's even changed both of our ways we think about cars / motorsport as well.
  21. Yeah it's possible. But I still just think it just decided not to stop because we weren't friends like you guys were. (I think the car is a 4WD/ABS hater deep down!) You can see I don't even think about down-shifting to 4th as I knew as soon as I put my foot on the brake we weren't stopping. Although you know how many issues I had with the shoe situation. You can really hear how I have to roll off the trottle way earlier than you so that I can lift my left foot out of the way so I can use the brake pedal. And also how under brakes and trying to down-shift I had to have my left foot higher than my right foot (because there wasn't room to fit both feet) so I either don't depress the clutch enough and can't grab gears - or else I press the brake too hard (to get enough clutch distance) and lock the front tyres. It was a good challenge though!!! (I should have just got some shoes too like you did). I do have some much better sessions where I can drive ok - as well a bunch more bad stuff (we definitely didn't bond! I mean the car even tried to Massa me at one point!) so I'll slowly upload some more over the next few days (and this time select the right aspect ratio!)
  22. Ok - here's how NOT to do Spa in a Caterham
  23. Not all FOTA teams did. Red Bull blocked it too and I can fully understand it. They are the only team now that can catch Brawn before the end of the year and as things look right now they have a VERY real chance of doing just that. BUT if suddenly McLaren and Ferrari start jumping ahead of Red Bull rather between them and Brawn then Red Bull won't be able to catch them by the end of the year. So any extra "testing" Ferrari get would just be aiding that very thing happening. I bet the one team that wouldn't block Ferrari right now is Brawn. LOL
  24. You know since the whole '91 thing in classic has been canned I might still look at the concept with one of the older NSX Type R's as an Early modern car rather than trying for a Classics one. I used to own an Aussie NSX before the R34 GT-R and have a real soft spot for them and those Type R's out of the box are an exceptional bit of kit. So even though the still fetch a pretty penny in Japan they really don't need a whole lot spent on them. By all accound the standard shocks and brakes are brilliant so it should just be a case of weight and safety. After 5 years of big heavy AWD racing I just really like the idea of having a go the other-way for a change. Light RWD sounds like some fun and you just can't beat the V-Tech Yo.
