Cobb still haven't set the Accessport up to read the ADM ECU yet. As it stands they can only read / flash JDM and US GT'R's. They have been sent a copy of the ADM ROM but we are still waiting. My guess is the Euro market is more important to them right now so they are concentrating on that 1st. We may still be a while waiting.....

Firstly - my guess is the extra cost will be to do with the extra facilities. Since it is a moving rally that covers 1,000kms they will be using a LOT more locations than ususal. For Vic and W.A it's 4 locations over 3 days - I think you'll find for NSW it will be upto 3 a day or something. And as for Mt Buller - if I was betting man I'd bet this won't be the last one ever. It might be the last one ever run by Mountain Motorsports but I'd be willing to bet someone else will pick the event back up at some stage. That being said I'm still keen to do Mt Buller this year JUST IN CASE!

Just as a heads up before you all get too excited - NSW ain't going to be cheap! If you want cheap do W.A. ($990p.p) The price I was told for NSW is around $3K pp. Although I was also told it might be a case of $3K for driver 1 and only another $1K for a second driver. Either way given you also have to travel the whole weekend I don't think the NSW event will end up being considered "cheap" unfortunately.

Sif care what spectators think! I race for my own fun! And I reckon that stage along with a crack at a bunch of epic auto-tests / hill climbs (if what they did for Vic this year is anything to go by) should be great fun. I'm hoping to do NSW if I can find something cool to do it in. But I want to do it in street class - mostly because with 1,000km of transport stages I want to do it in something nice and comfortable! LOL That was the best thing about wrecking the R34 in the Vic round - the R35 was tops for cruising to Lang Lang and Morwell in compared to the race car.

Unfortunately this will have to be post-poned. I'll update as soon as we have a new date and time.

Well on the weekend at the ATC held in Vic there were 2 dead stock ADM R35 GT-R's that when both used LC in Auto R/R/R over an 800m drag on the Holden Proving Ground Speed Bowl were nearly 1s different in times. Each car had 4 runs and all 4 runs for each car were basically exactly the same time BUT the 2 cars were around 1s different (and around a 10km/hr terminal speed difference). Car 1 did it in around 18.2s with top speed of 250km/hr and the 2nd car was 18.9s and 142km/hr. So not all R35's are created equal even when comparing ADM v ADM let alone ADM v JDM.

Well done to the young guns - you too can now have a cool little note in your forum signature Impressive stuff from Frisey too. Was a fun weekend - I've discovered the R35 is far to big for anything but circuit work but it was good fun playing around in anyway since we destroyed the rubber on SMAUG in 5mins at PI. It's a good little toy. The headbutt machine was tops too!

No tyres are a reasonable price anymore but Ryan ran the A050's and smashed his PB at PI and smashed EVERYONE at Haunted Hills. Jeff Beable used them at Targa and said they were great there too.

I'm not sure what happened to Andrew but I hope he didn't get those Dunlop M1's. I used them for Dutton and 2 laps in they delaminated - too much heat generated there for our cars on those tyres! You'd need to get the R1's if going Dunlops (although these new A050's are starting to look like the new tyre of choice).

Looks like they are doing passenger rides this year! Seems like they are taking all of our DECA idea's

Shit - I've had the drawings at home for you Chris for AGES and I've completely forgotten about them. Oops.

Hey Bris - I'm looking at going to Abu Dabi for the final race - wanna meet up?

Ohhh God New Regulations Have Been Issued
Snowman replied to tacker's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Hey slightly OT - but do you only compete at the Autodrome Chris? No chance we'll see you at Yas Marina later in the year in one of the support races? I'm looking at coming across for it. -
Bris - word is there are no really tight events for Vic this year. Most of the auto tests are fast I'm told. Oh - and its a plane.

Mine was 1674 for TT. Because you can add things like DVD players and full surround speakers to the things still in my car! LOL
-
I'm personally feeling sorry for Rod these days. He's copped it far too hard I reckon. Who knows where his head was at 3s after going from 100-0km/hr in <1s. Anyhoo.... And Ben - we were running 550's in ours and I reckon they are pretty well bang on.

Hey all, I'm going to have a dyno evening at R.E.Customs on Wed June 3rd from 7:30pm which any other Melb based R35 owners are welcome to attend. We'll be doing a few different dyno runs on the night showing what the R35 makes power-wise both dead stock, then with the additon of a mid-pipe and then finally we'll have the long awaited play with the Cobb Tuning software which will be available for both JDM and ADM cars by then. Location details can be found here - http://www.recustoms.com.au/Contact So I hope we can get a few of the local cars together - should be an interesting night.

The story is the Nav called a "Trust me flat left 10 over crest" and it was a left 5....
-
Don't worry - Bradford was a big lesson for me. It's the main reason I'm keen to stay in Modern next year rather than aiming for something like Early Modern as in Modern I know I have no chance of winning anything so can just concentrate on finishing the event. Getting a "Targa Trophy" is my only goal for 2010.

There is that joint on white st that imports / sells them. My guess is that was a "test drive". LOL
-
I've got a special sausage waiting just for you mate.

Yeah I wondered the same given I had to run the Z Tune as S1 and they are a pretty similar car really.

Paris and I are in again as well. Highly pumped for it (as it will be a massive break after being seriously under the pump here at work currently). We were going to come in the new car but have decided it's too fast so will give the youngens another shot at the title by bringing the blue car again. Only issue is Chris is so rubbish at PI that it might severly dent their title hopes. But I'm really looking forwards to some new challenges. Only place I've been for the whole 3 day event is PI.

Haha - if you can Benny watch our Sideling Vids side by side - it's an epic battle until the last 500m! And I know why - it's from watching that incar vid of the volvo when you see the lotus spear off there that I went super cautious for that one short section. You don't realise at the time how much of an impact these little back offs can have. BTW - I've watched our Sideling, Rossarden and Sheffield vids all side by side and it seems your little toy may actually be faster than mine in a straight line. The one thing that definite is that you/your car is faster in the fast bits and me/my car is faster in the slow bits. Rossarden is a great example where at the start you get a massive lead on me before I pull it right back at the end. Interesting to see really our different strengths and weaknesses. The starts are funny as I'm always leading into turn 1 (no suprise) but because I always start like a wuss until I get confidence in the tyres you are usually caught up or in front by turn 3. LOL But good stuff - your footage shows you are on it from go through to the red signs - something I need to work on going forwards.
