    Dry Cell Battery

    Meridian did mine.
  2. PM sent - cheers mate.
  3. Hey Kel - are we going to be seeing you at TWP now? I see the 2 DK cars have entered.
  4. Kazutoshi Mizuno (Nissan GT-R Head Engineer) is coming out to Oz late Feb to ensure the local cars are set-up to suit Australian road conditions. So I'd say they are on-track for the current told delivery dates (starting March).
  5. There was 3 of them in Healsville the other week. The funny thing was you could spot the owners as they were out the front of a cafe wearing their ferrari shirts looking like twats. Why do so many Ferrari owners feel the need to do that? I felt embarresed for them - especially since I drove past in this wearing a pair of baggy shorts and a t-shirt drinking a macca's coffee
  6. As for the engine thing - the answer is no body knows. It has something to do with the plamsa bores but I can't remember exactly what. But then it's 100,000km's. I wish my R34 GTR engine would last that long before it needs a +$15K re-build!
  7. Yep
  8. Hey Uncle Dunc, Sorry to drag up an old thread but recently my car was pulled apart to fit the new cage and now my controller just blinks crazy for 5 mins then shuts off I no longer have my instruction manual so I don't suppose there is a copy on-line somewhere I can reference?

    Nurburgring

Haha Aaron and Blaise are both huge bike guys and have also been to the Ring and they would agree with me 100%. It's just not the place for a bike - especially given they have to share the track with cars (and buses etc). I'm just trying to tell you if you really want to have some fun there then get a car! (Here's where I'd recommend getting one from too - http://www.rent-racecar.de/gb/ Theo and Heidi are awesome people)

    Nurburgring

All people on bikes at the Nurburgring should DIE!!!!!!!!!!!! Most annoying farkers on the planet I swear. Slow, stupid and don't get out of the farking way of us normal fast people in cars! "Oh wow I'm on a bike and can drive fast in a straight line! But wait there's a corner (of which there are 37,000 on the Ring) so I better slow down to the speed of a mother pushing a pram and drive in the middle of the track" I could help you but I won't on principle. If you want to know about getting a good car there then ask again and I can help
  11. I can't see it being below $100K. I base that on the fact that the R34 GTR was released in 1999 and in 2004 they were still fetching well over $100K. It's taken 10 years for the R34 values to come right down and they have really only started coming down fast since the R35 came out. For all we know in 2013 they will still be selling this vehicle new in the same guise especially given over half the world doesn't even have access to this car yet - so I can't see a current selling model going for 50% off RRP just because it's 2nd hand. It's a totally different story to 5 years AFTER they stop making it. Then I can see figures around or below $80K.
  12. SAU runs a motorsport club championship in conjunction with the WRX Club. If you go to this thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/20...ar-t249048.html and open the excel file the events marked as WRX are the official SAU track days. However as an SAU member with a CAMS L2S license you would be able to attend all of the track days listed on that sheet (not just the official WRX/SAU ones). SAU also host a few days a year at DECA as well. Do a search if you want to know more about them. Hope that helps.
  13. You have to remember the way the Club works is that different level cars are worth different point values. So using an R36 would costs bugger all points wise compared to the ferrari F430 Spyder. Price wise the R36 is the same as the EVO X (if not slightly dearer for a fully specc'd one) but it falls into the Group 1 cars - which they have bugger all of for use on the roads - and yet has some usefullness that you don't get with a Lotus or Atom, and I can tell you is suprisingly fun to drive. Remember the R36 is the fastest production car VW has ever produced! So if a member wanted to take the wife and kids away for the weekend the R36 wagon would be one of the few cars the club would have that would allow them to fit everyone plus luggage, prams etc into the car and yet be a damn sight more fun than their 4WD tractor they no doubt already own. I bet it would get more use than James stupid ugly Q7.
  14. Oh - and LP560-4. They just look tougher than the standard ones.
  15. There's already one of these for 2009!
  16. Z06 and I've already told you 11ty times but an M6 rag also. So much a better car than you'd think they are (and much better than an M5) And an R36 Wagon
  17. Yeah look the times I'd driven it before I just thought it was loud and stupid but it was really nice today - if not a little scary at times. The front end on that one is tired (ball joints are screwed) so you didn't really know what it wanted to do but that was ok because even just cruising it sounded like we were doing 11ty km/hr so we didn't need to actually drive fast to feel like we were! Someone I see has entered one for Targa and I personally think they deserve a medal for bravery! And if people think SLG's sound good wait til they hear this thing in action.
  18. James and I did the hard yards today in driving up and back to Mt Buller to continue our recce / pace note practising. 700km's in a day and unfortunately this was the only car available for us to do it in. (It's the Challenge Stradale version too).
  19. Fixed
  20. I will be drunk at Albert Park.
  21. Ok - it seem these are RE-11S (as opposed to just Re-11). Released 1/12/08 so maybe a bit early to tell how good they are but seem to be aimed at the autocross guys as they seem a bit softer than RE55's from the had to read charts! LOL
  22. The RE11's replace the RE01R's (as found on the new GT-R). These are them here! I have NFI what those tyres you posted up are though!
  23. It's a tough one given there is 3 rallies in basically 2 weeks so really they are all trying to get the same market. Not easy at all. It would be much wiser if everyone sat down and organised a decent yearly calander - especially given after the start of May there hardly anything for the rest of the year and yet here we are with 3 crammed into 2 weeks!
  24. And look as a slightly side issue before this event was even announced I'd already had a ripper drunken argument with someone who has already posted in here that our level motorsports and prize money just doesn't work. Even if this thing had gone ahead there was going to be issues down the track so hopefully this is the last we hear of these wild concepts. This was the main reasons I advised anyone who asked my opinion to stay away from this event in the first place. I'm sure someone like Stu can back me up with that comment! But I really hope that anyone who has ponied up some coin for this thing gets it back - and then uses it for a decent motorsport event next year!
  25. yep somehow there was 300 people not actively involved in motorsports that thought they could win it (because at $13K entry you'd only be putting that up if you thought you were a genuine chance).
