  1. yep that makes perfect nonsense
  2. Yeah well blind corners are no problems. There's nothing a handbrake and some opposite lock can't fix. But crests are a whole new ball game!
  3. Hey quick question for all you rally pro's - I got my pace notes for Wrest Point yesterday (very exciting!) But I'd just like a quick definition explination if I can. I know /o = over crest and /oo = over flat crest. But what exactly is a flat crest? Does that mean it only has an up (so flat on top rather than an up then down) or does it mean its a crest you take flat out?
  4. Yeah mate. Mick is the man.
  5. Well it's just about ready to start painting!
  6. Nope. All get the 20's but Premium get the gunmetals ones and the standard get the silver ones.
  7. Nice graph work there Andrew

    White Sensation

Isn't there like 11ty of them on eBay? There was a few weeks ago.
  9. My house! lol
  10. Nope - clutches and fly-wheels must remain standard.
  11. Not all of them! Some of the cars came standard with a Nismo twin plate
  12. That will be an awesome trick given the Australian car doesn't even have Sat Nav!! I think you'll find the Oz car just doesn't have a limiter....
  13. My experience is that Skylines (well GT-R's at least) are too heavy for R888's. They seem to work better on lighter cars. They just don't last more than 1 hot lap on a GT-R without going squishy. Weight is one thing that most people don't consider when discussing semi-comps. But I'm sure it's why some tyres work better on some cars than others. Thats why I think the Bridgestones work the best with GT-R's as they handle the weight the best. I think in the dry they are even better than the Dunlops for my car. My 2c.
  14. Actually Brisby isn't too bad on gearboxes because he prefers to just bounce off of the limiter than change gears
  15. I'm possibly doing Lake Mountain in April as a Targa Shakedown (if I have any tyres left) but will miss the Jan one as I'll be doing Wrest Point instead. I did hear yesterday that there is bugger all people entered for Rally Tas in early Feb at this stage though, as most people are opting with either Lake Mountain or Wrest Point instead.
  16. I'm bummed. Was booked in for this Friday as well!
  17. Yeah Ben's car is great. It's not a money sucking lemon he promises
  18. Yeah I'm keeping the full street reg on my car until I get into trouble for it! Long term it is a much better thing to have than rally reg and for the sake of $200pa or something I say keep it if you can.
  19. That makes NO sense at all. 1. Launch control will still be there. It's just not listed as a feature (aka if you push the buttons it will still work - but your warranty is now gone which it seems has been the case all along anyways). 2. The suspension recalibration is an option we all get at the time of order. They ask you straight up how you want it - hard, racey and aggressive camber settings or softer with longer tyre life. Anyways - I've got a white premium AUD one due in May 09 as well. I've even ordered the plates for it already.
  20. Guys remember that some of the doom sayers on here like kitch are guys that have imported JDM versions of this car so it's not in their best interest to say good things about the local cars and support now is it. Because some of them just might have JDM GT-R's going for sale for mega $$$ shortly (if not already). As a side point back in August when our $$$ was kicking ass I ordered another car from VW worth a few bob as well (R36 Passat - for the wife). Our $$$ has crashed horribly against the Euro as well and yet that car is just about to arrive and I'm just finalizing everything with VW now and there's been no talk of any adjustments in price with them. I've never heard of a car changing price from the quoted one at the point of sale, Nissan are telling all of us that have asked that the delivered price will remain as quoted (which is cheaper than all of these JDM ones going around and have full local support) and I really don't see anything changing.
  21. I reckon about the same. Having a look at the results Ben had from the REAL Z Tune when he had it (when he fixed the exhaust and the ECU) it was producing similar power to what mine was and almost identical track times. The only thing I'm not sure about is what effect having to raise the ride height is going to have because I know where it currently is it bottoms out big time on the roads. But I think it will be alright. I've no doubts in the right hands it would perform really well and in my hands should do a nice job of making me look better than I am (again)
  22. Yep sure am. I figure if an R35 GT-R can be pink then a Z Tune can be blue
  23. Fibre Glass. Whats the point in CF if I'm just going to paint over the top! Not like I'm trying to save weight now that I'm running to S1 regs.
  24. Look - here we have some rice that genuinely has given me +100kws!
  25. That's a serious bit of kit whose ever that car is!
