Or you do what I "maybe" used to do and when presenting for Scrutineering take the extinguisher out of the holder and keep it in your passenger seat. That way you can hand them the extinguisher to check the date (the main thing they want to look at) and if they ask where it is bolted just point and then they can't "shake it around" and complain. They will just look at it and say OK. Thats what I might have done for years and years without a problem (This was for the 1 bolt rear seat footwell jobby)

I did some chops on Bayside Blue and I really don't think it will look all that flash. Midnight Purple however I think will be tops. Looking forwards to seeing the one being done for SEMA and Mobil shortly.

I run the RA's in my car as well and I think they are brilliant. So much better than anything else I've played with.

That max speed is about 15km/hr up on what I can run there. Be good to know where that extra speed comes from - whether its corner exit speed, grunt, weight or a mixture of all of them.

Na thats it. When I said he did a "good job" of crashing I mean he looked like he had a big one but came away unscathed. It was at the exit of the sweeper and he stopped about 3cm from the wall. Much like some other cool people that have done a "good job" of crashing at Winton during at Dutton as well.

Its an older one - I think its a 72. I remember him from Dutton a few years back. I mainly remember because he did a good job of crashing it at Winton!

If your reasons for buying were soley based upon performance then yeah sure. But having driven both the R35 and the EVO X I can tell you the GT-R is so much more car than what the EVO is in every respect - not just performance. It's a little bit like comparing a commodore to an M5. Yep with some $$$ you could make the commo as fast but it still won't ever be an M5.

Everyone I know that has done it loved it as well. But for them the entry fee price wasn't a huge deal. Like anything in life - if you can afford it and its a good thing then you are going to love it. For example - my folks have just gone off on a 1 week fishing trip thats costing them $13K. I personally think it's insane as I know I can go fish off the end of the peir for $10 in bait costs. But it's not the same experience and they are happy to pay the money to do something they like.

It also seems that maybe some of these so called failures are just internet trollers out to cause panic. So many haters out there....

I'd also find out for sure if this giving away your spot can be done here. I know in the US it was deemed a no no. This was to stop people just trying to make $$$ off of nothing. So if YOU didn't want the car they simply gave it to the next person in line. No one could take your spot. It's not like there's any real massive options where it going to be hard to find the next person that wants a Premium Version in Silver is it.

I would suggest it would work in the same priciple as the Louts Challenge thing did a few years ago. If you aren't fimiliar with that what they did was they offered a chance where you could pay $X (can't remember but was about $3K) at 3 different state venues for a competition in either the Lotus Elise or the Exige Cup cars (was more $$$ for the Exige one obviously). During the day they had 6 cars and the competition was such that over the weekend you had to drive in all 6 cars with I think the combined best time from all of the cars you drove determining the winner. The top 5 from each state went off to a finals thing and the winner in each class (Elise and Exige) got a fully paid for drive in the Lotus Cup challenge the next year. But my bet would be that if there were X number of cars you would have to rotate through all of the cars, rather than just using the same one for the whole competition to make sure there were no "his car is faster than mine" cry babies.

Unbelievable given the gearbox is apparently made of jelly.... Either that or maybe they just know how to drive.

So the big questions that rises out of this weekend is - is Skafie finished? I mean if you were going into the enduro season with a good shot of winning the championship would you want him as your other driver? I'm not sure I would. They were lucky to get away with his mistake at PI. I can see him being relegated next year to filling the field with a Glen Seaton or something rather than a pressure drive with a Tander etc. Infact - will Skaife even be at HRT next year? If not who will get the seat? There were some damn good drives by less fancied people on Sunday.

Given my car basically was a Z Tune spec wise already all I needed to do was put a kit on it. It was going to cost me a LOT more to down-grade to an N1 than what this is (the major reason why I'm doing it since my newbness isn't going to make me all that fast straight up). But we can be sure some Porka and EVO people are going t have a cry about it too which will be fun

True - but if the car is entered as a 2005 R34 GTR Z-Tune its ok (as opposed to entering it as a 2001 R34 GTR V Spec N1 and adding the options). Nothing to say you can't Nothing to say an R33 GTR can't be entered as a 400R either!
