  1. Rumors someone has been killed on Stage 1 this morning
  2. Anyways - seems Hendy busted a drive shaft on launch. New one on it's way from Racepace now.
  3. Ah that explains why I couldn't find Tim's result. Fingers crossed he get's away with it - but it almost looks like Day 0 counts this year? Can anyone confirm if these 2 stages are more than just a shake-down / seeding procedure this year? I presume not because there are some weird / slow results from guys you'd expect on the pace in all categories.
  4. You can get them to over 450kw@wheels in Targa spec. Keeping them there is a totally different story. I've backed mine right back now to try and keep the thing on the road! Anyways - for those lucky enough to be there have a great week. It's about now I start to wish I was there again.
  5. PIARC?
  6. Good stuff mate. Although if you thought you spent a lot on the R34 you're in for a unpleasant surprise with an R35....
  7. Also - even though they aren't 2B listed all of the series in QLD, NSW and VIC are allowing R32-R34 GT-R's to run under 2B regs in the Sports Car series. Events include 1hr races at Bathurst, Wakefield, QR and Phillip Island this year and 2B is a pretty easy class to run in (no restrictors etc).
  8. Not always - it depends on what you want to do with it. Remember things like Jap cages won't be accepted for most CAMS events that require a log-booked cage so you'll need to get that re-done. Often your cheapest bet is to find a locally done race car on MY105 as Paul suggested. Initial cost MAY be higher but your final cost will probably be lower. But as a rule race cars are usually cheaper than street cars (at least they are a lot cheaper than building one yourself from a street car). So if it's just a track day car then an import is fine. But if you ever want to do Targa or something similar you'll be struggling without spending the extra $$$. And it will be a lot easier to sell down the track if it is a track only car that can be used for more than just club sprints. 2c
  9. There is no official timing on the Saturday so it's all BYO. Technically the Sat is just a practice day.
  10. Have you seen where it is? You'll get a free donkey with every Ferrari shirt purchased. But it would be epic. Have to do a ferry trip to Odessa afterwards.
  11. Bris - 2014 Russian GP. Lets mark it down now.
  12. I'll be running slicks for most of the year. So I'm keen.
  13. I'm in with you mate.
  14. Some bastard must have been hiding in the tray then Benny..
  15. Yep was me. Was such an epic experience. Also massively put into perspective the times the F1's do and even things like their braking points (or at times complete lack of!). In the end I think my best time was around 2.15 so we still aren't anywhere near their times in the wet!
  16. Super stuff Stu. Well deserved. And even though he won't read it - fantastic job by Mr Perry over the years. The Targa Rallies truely are some of the great events available for non-professional motorsport lovers in this country, and their current success are largely thanks to him.
  17. He's taking a scooter ute.
  18. My F1 game tells me that the braking mark into Turn 1 is about the 100m mark. Just use that as a guide Benny
  19. I care not for fans. I'm doing it so I can cut laps at full noise on the GP circuit! When else will we get this chance!?
  20. Yep - Tarmac cars cutting laps at full noise.
  21. Alright - slightly OT from proper Tarmac Rally stuff - but a month from now we have the Targa Demonstration at the Australian GP. I know 6 cars coming (Brisby, Wooster, Newton, Dowie, Hendy and myself) and I'm quietly pumped for it - anyone else coming? Have heard our running times are 10am Thurs and Sat and 6pm Friday (straight after FP2 of the F1's). Means a dry Friday but I think Saturday will make up for it!
  22. Rumors are a guy in W.A. has purchased one. Not sure if the plan is to do B12 in it however or what his plans are but it does bring hope. I spent most of Sunday watching the stream and it's confirmed my desire to do it. One day....
  23. Anyone know of a VR38 for sale? Any condition really as long as the block is ok.
  24. I had to do mine recently too (08 JDM)
  25. 1000cc injectors standard in the 2013 car too. Will go a long way in aiding them make more power each year from here on in.
