  1. I have only ever seen a UTQG rating of 40 listed for the RE55's but it has never been definied as to which compound that rating is for.
  2. In THEORY it should fit somewhere between the Carrera GT and the GT3 so somewhere between 8-15th - but I'm expecting closer to the GT3 time than the Carrera time.
  3. what do you mean you haven't seen the SR2's? Since they have come in they haven't even been selling the old SR's (well not down here anyways).
  4. My Dutton Co-Driver (Blaise) is going.
  5. Yeah well thats why I no longer have a Getrag. But I seriously doubt it will prevent people blowing up gearboxes. I mean hell look at the Audi R8 - James at P1 has 2 of the things - one is a manual and one has the R Tronic and the R Tronic gearbox blew up last week (but the manual car is still going strong). All it does mean is if you do blow it up it's going to cost EVEN MORE than repairing one of those stupid Getrags!

    Black R35 Coming

I'm looking forwards to seeing the W.A. one in competitions once it's ready as Stevey Jones sure can steer ok. He'll be a good bench mark for exactly how good these cars really are.
  7. I know its faster and I know its better and after spending some time last weekend in the Ferrari 360CS which has a similar system they are really nice to drive around town in traffic compared to clutching in all the time - BUT IT STILL DOESNT MAKE IT COOL!
  8. Kev - its a DSG gearbox rather than an auto. So technically its a clutchless manual. Doesn't make it cool though.
  9. There is probably only going to be small numbers brought in by Nissan now as everyone is going to know that since these can be brought in from Japan the value of these cars are going to die in the ass much like the R32 GT-R so your investment losses are going to be huge. Which means only the real die hards will buy them now. In many ways I personally find that disappointing.
  10. Yeah it is good and all but the prices being discussed are still around $165K (for the Premium) by the time everything is done, and given that is around the same price that Nissan Australia is talking about it's a massive risk to lose the warrinty etc just for the sake of getting one of these cars a couple of month earlier. Unless the savings were so huge that the costs could possibly out-weigh anything you'd save on a possible warrinty claim I just can't justify not waiting for the local delivered models.

    Black R35 Coming

Great stuff Russ! The question is though if this R35 is going to be a Targa car (well Tarmac Rally car) - I'm guessing Mark is going to be the steerer so does this mean you are going to be the mug in the passenger seat? Good luck if you are! There's no way I could do it.
  12. Rod - you are old. Don't kid yourself. But not all Japanese cars are "shit" or only good for performance bang for buck. I rate the Honda Accord Euro and the Lexus IS250 as being better than anything Euro in their price range from what I have driven. They are both great cars to drive (not performance but luxuary midsized cars). And I'm sure the new GT-R is going to be a lot more than just a fast car.
  13. I've already got a big Trust intercooler - was on the car when I bought it. I'm sure the problem I have is getting air our rather than getting air in. Plus I'm looking forwards to you being a guniea pig and telling me how your car goes at Winton now because last time I was there it was overheating central.
  14. You still have those!? I might have to take them off your hands one day. But 1st I need a clutch, front brake pads and rotors, a new head gasket and a new bonnet to stop the head gasket thing happening again.
  15. I don't even know what that even means. LOL I have no idea how that stuff works and it's probably best if I keep it that way so I don't fall into the same void that you, Aaron and Frank have.
  16. No one has xjaxson5x - total playing time 186hrs, 48mins, 20s http://bf2s.com/player/102226062/
  17. Rumour has it Jack has given up racing cars so he can concentrate on his on-line gaming.
  18. Try John @ UAS www.nismo.com.au
  19. Yeah there's not chance my car will be ready. And I'd like to have a play at Winton too.
  20. Who is running it this year Bris as I recently got an email from Motoring Events Management saying they wouldn't be running the event this year.
  21. So you think that there will be less than 1 point seperating the top 3 drivers next year? I'm also looking forwards to a year without TC - but I'm really looking forwards to a year without LC. Given no matter what rules they bring in most of the passing will be done as per usual in the pit - or the 1st corner and I think we may see more 1st corner passes than we have the last few seasons (where really it was just Renaults going past everyone and thats it).
  22. Or you can just chuck some stuff in the old Lada factory Bris if you want? There's space where the Lada's used to be.
  23. Have you driven an RS4? I have an whilst it is an unquestionably nice car - I don't think they are worth the $$$ charged for them. At this stage I'm thinking the R35 will be a better car for $$$ machine than the RS4 is (but only driving one will really tell).
  24. Nice work if true. The world needs more super cars
  25. Mine was the Lotus Esprit V8 Turbo which came from playing the original 1987 PC game Test Drive (check out those graphics!). This was despite the fact that the Countach and the Testarossa were faster cars in that game - I just loved the look of it.
