  1. It is confirmed. It just hasn't been publically announced yet. But it will be very shortly.
  2. Hey screamin' - I found out last week the Dutton Rally is having a round in N.Z. next year. We are currently planning on getting over there for it. Hopefully we can see a few local based Skylines for the event as well. BTW Russ - no round in QLD next year. So you guys will have to come to Vic (or N.Z.!)
  3. No you don't. Any CAMS club membership is fine (it does say Victorian CAMS membership but we have had guy from NSW come before with no problems).
  4. Next year is going to cost around $3150-$3500 for a team entry. Factor in tyres, brakes, fuel and fluids plus accomm (although we stay at the caravan park as usual as its way cheaper) and alcohol spending $$$ and your looking at around $5-6K for the weekend shared between 2 people. The Event sponsors don't help you at all - except in keeping the entry fee's down to as minimal as possible. But thats not a cost saving you'll ever feel. Other sponsorship is up to you to get. If you are smart you'll do what Bris and Chris did and sign-up a co-driver that will bring sponsors with them.
  5. But hopefully less than that Ferrari.....
  6. By the Power of Greyskull He-man would!
  7. I've owned both an NSX and a GT-R and I can tell you the GT-R is a MUCH better sports car than the NSX was. However the NSX was a much nicer toruning car than the GT-R. The GT-R is all about performance where as the NSX was a really nice car to drive rather than a fast car to drive.
  8. Some quick goss for '08. Vic to be Round 1 - May 23-25 next year. Also - say goodbye to SPC carpark and hello to Super Special in the main street out the front of the caravan park.
  9. Sorry Richard but Mr Karaoke has my heart.
  10. I stopped using the Castrol and started using the Royal Purple Synchromax and seemed to have much better results with it (when I still had the Getrag in my car).
  11. There was last year as part of the Autosports forums but me, Chris, James and Brisby singlehandedly shut it down with photoshop wars. God they were funny but!
  12. Also - the guys in the Alfa have put together a nice collection of in-car footage from a bunch of the events - including at the end the footage from the Shearform Autotest. Thats worth having a look at as an example of the crazy stuff we had to do!
  13. Some things deserve to be regularly reminded about. Thats one of them. So what are the chances that anyone that is coming up has room for a set of rims? My roll cage means the end of my rear seats these days.
  14. That looks like Neils car unfortunately. Hayshed bites again.
  15. I love my car but I couldn't handle it as a daily. I don't get hassled by cops when I'm in it and I ignore wannabe racers quite well so it's not that. It's just not the best car for driving around in everywhere. It's big, the 2 doors can be annoying and things like the boot trim all falls appart when you drive with anything in the boot. It goes like stink on the track however and thats where I love it. I've spent a bit of time in EVO's recently however and they are a great daily car. For very very little effort and money you can get one to be a rocketship too and still be streetable. And they have little things like the worlds fastest acting air-con which can be great when you want it. They are definitely a nicer daily to live with than the GT-R IMO.
  16. No look it does count - I think its a great thing to add to the Dutton. But it doesn't count in a head to head with James especially since you aren't even in the same class. Although the classes can be questionable at times. Like the poor guy in the Starion who was in the same class as all the modded GT-R's and EVO's!
  17. I'll go down for both days but will only drive on Sunday. You will get more laps on Saturday - but Sunday is the main day. But yes you can use in-car lap times on Saturday no problems at all.
  18. Entry Form and Sup Req's for this event are now available I've also put a link into the 1st post. Click Here Saturday is $130 (entries recieved before 12th Oct) and $135 for Sunday. Looking forwards to seeing you all there. Once you have confirmed your entry we can look into the accommodation side of things. Cheers Snowy.
  19. Sorry Brisby - handicap stands for nothing. Also - it's 12 months late I know but it should also be noted that this year I did successfully manage to beat James and Brisby 58-0.
  20. The R32 will be too fast - bring something slower so we still have a chance Actually we might try and get upto NSW next year too - hasn't been fully discussed yet but mostly to have a crack at your title.
  21. Damn my car looked good.
  22. FYI - my cage cost around $2K, fitted and powder coated. But it has lots of "nice" things as Troy has alluded too that I wanted and was prepared to pay the extra for.
  23. Yeah and I'm stoked with the job Merridian did with my bolt-in as well. There's plenty of options out there.
  24. Hang in there Pete. I swore my car was cursed for a while there. But it got better.
  25. Haha - yeah except I put in parts that you took out! Go figure! You guys going to be looking at running in any of the Dutton events again Russ? Maybe in the new R34 or something?
