    Wheel Widths

there could also be insurance issues, even if the police don't pull you up on it, an insurance company might if you ever make a claim. i was looking around at my car (r33 gtst) for the same thing, the one inside the door jam only had some tyre sizes and wasn't really helpful. The sticker with the wheel widths was stuck in my glovebox, and it had the gtr size on there (17x9). look in there and check, i'd be confident going 1 inch wider than the widest on the sticker.

  5. lol i know the feeling, i didn't get one of those magical leave passes tonight, shopping it is
  6. If anyone has the foglight assemblies off an r33 s2, could you please drop me a PM!!! Thanks guys Ric
  7. dude just eat less... im lucky to be not a massive guy (175cms, 55kg) so that helps
  8. subtle differences, but yeah the boot on the sedans seems more vertical and boxy thanks to n15m0 for the pic...

  11. PREDATOR!!! Definitely up there in the badass category.... it's on channel 7 right now infact..
  12. they say you should hand it in, but if you need it for ID or whatever you could just tell them you lost it, or that you did infact hand it in. They seem to be pretty poorly organised down at vicroads. Anyway when i lost mine (lol recurring theme here)... i rocked up on the day i was due to get it back (at 9am of course) and just asked for it and they gave me another one with new photo etc... didn't realise about posting :S
  13. oh ok.. well it's up to you, i would go back and try to argue cos i have the USB capability and am loving it! i also quite like arguing with people lol
  14. any update on that? i too like leaving the doors open to listen to music for a bit.. Cheers Ric
  15. take your car/receipt back to the place you bought it, and staple the receipt to the guy's forehead... like seriously. as if you get ripped off 80 bucks and then have to put up with burning cds and them going all over the joint in your car...

spotted RUFFLS driving in his AU falcon POS daily, and harassing me about wanting to buy my car (not for sale) lol
  17. yeah same as above, that's why i bought a USB head unit... no more burning cds and i can change songs etc on the head unit
  18. if your phone has the standard 3.5mm headphone hole then yeah any double ended plug will work as it's just like your phone is an mp3 player or other media device. if not, if it has that funny-shaped nokia plug (like my 6288 has) then you'd obviously have to get a cord that suits both ends.. i reckon you'd be best off contacting nokia in that case. Hope this helps Ric
  19. ah ok thanks for that mate... ill take a look at the link later on and see what i can find out. Ric
  20. Hi Guys a friend of mine is looking to buy an r34 NA sedan, and the private seller told her that the hubcaps on the car came as standard. I was under the impression that they came out with alloys from the factory. It's not such a big deal, but may just help us determine if the seller is genuine or not, or whether he is just confused. Can anyone confirm or deny? Thanks Ric
  21. haha Melbourne north eastern suburbs mate... don't blame you for thinking my car looks familiar there's a stack of them around! 3 just in my suburb i believe
  22. 33 ftw.. just judging by your first post id say you wouldnt be one to go swapping engines etc (neither am i)... you mention things like breaking down rarely and running better, so i reckon a newer car should suit your needs better. Agreed also with finster about getting the series 2. much nicer imo dude your avatar is of an r33 so i reckon youve already made up your mind
  23. your fuel gauge is not full of shit.. well not totally anyway. your tank is 65L, but nissan have just calibrated it so that when your needle is on E, you still have a fair bit of fuel left. I guess this is so you don't drive around with barely any fuel in your tank (dangerous!) ... i had this exact same problem in my dead stock, granny driven r33 gtst. 500kms to a tank is pretty normal with sensible driving.. it's what im getting too hope this helped clear up some confusion Ric
  24. +1 .. dude that link doesn't work ... just go to www.connexforcancerday.com.au it's a good cause, get on it
  25. having read all 11 pages of this thread, i'm pretty sure none of you have answered the original question. "Is HSV w427 worth $150k - $170k?" Nowhere in the above question do Jeremy Clarkson, the r35 gtr, bmw m3.. etc etc get a mention. at the end of the day, a car is only ever 'worth' what someone is willing to pay for it. If all 427 of these things are sold for whatever their asking price happens to be, they are technically 'worth' that much. Not wanting to split hairs too much, all the debate about whether or not they are a good buy as compared to a GTR or anything else for this sort of coin does little to answer the original question. My personal opinion? - $170k for a Holden is a dead-set insult, stonking power figures notwithstanding. There is more to cars than their 1/4mile and 0-100km/h times. After leaving my old VP commodore for my r33, it's safe to say i will NEVER buy another Aussie car ever again. I love Australia, if i want to support the economy ill buy food that's Australian produced and owned.
