You have possibly just bumped something loose when fitting the filter. So it doesnt even fire up and then die? check the obvious things first like: the afm plug any vacum lines the plugs on both sides of the amplifier thingy worth a try

i'm interested to hear more about the 30 bottom end what would it roughly cost to build up an old rb30 bottom? i mean to get it ready for the transplant whats the most expensive bit.. the pistons? what if you dont want massive hp? Also i have heard this will raise the height of the engine... anyone know by how much?

how long is a peice of string.... i'd play it safe and do it the very first chance you get. the only way to gauge this risk would be knowing the REAL history of your car, which i'm sure nobody knows. even then, that might not even help. be aware of the consequences...

mine's got 158k on the clock now - 52k when i bought it. It wouldnt surprise me if it was over the 200k mark now. But all is good - still goin strong, also considering my motor's an NA engine with a turbo bolted on. Kinda shows how good rb engines actually are really. although, funny how all the late r34s i see seem to have approx (and probably genuine) 20-40k but the 32s and 33s seem to have the same. Did everyone in Japan recently start driving more in the last 5 yrs? Strange days indeed...

removin the rear mesh wont do jack - the front mesh is always gonna be the bottleneck. leave em both on

which broker did you use? I once saw a few cars come straight from the docks, they were in an awfull state , but once detailed/tidied up etc they look like new. If the mechanicals turn out ok, I'd say you did ok out of it all.

heh yeah mine had that too before i tinted it - all white blotchy like have no idea what it was but cant notice it much anymore sometimes after washing can still slightly see it

hippy, you prolly got 2 different bulbs if 1 light was replaced get yourself a new set of bulbs. Cant remember off hand which type they are, H2 or H3 or something... search the forums Repco sell em - Get the arctic blue ones, they are nice and bright with a hint of blue. great for nights on open roads

my motor is fine - i think its just the little gear cog slippin. ie. when the window would get to the top, it would try to keep going coz the cog starts slippin off line (i think). i think maybe its due to my car spending the last couple of yrs parked at home on an upward slope. everytime i would go to the car for somethin, the door would always fling closed smackin ya as$. i guess its prolly bent something over time since these doors are so damn heavy! do you have a pic of the drive end of the motor?

i have to replace my drivers side window motor soon.... their in a pr1ck of a spot... how did you get it out? any tricks/pointers? cheers

not sure with the 32s but on the 33s there is a sensor in the dash front left of the steering column. it looks like a little breather vent and has a hose connected on the other side from memory. If this hose is disconnected (at either end) and is close by to something that generates a little heat, i guess it could make the AC work for colder temps. check it out... wont hurt
