  1. I'm concerned that this came to mind when reading your post... "There was an old woman who swallowed a fly"
  2. intake turbo manifold cooler programmable ecu custom oil and water lines to turbo is how i did mine. if you use the 25det injectors, you could probably get away with running a stock 25det ecu. even though it worked, and worked well, you might be better off buying a complete det engine. plus you'll have a spare head etc you could sell. what you will pay for the parts needed will probably outweigh the cost of a low km replacement 25det
  3. heats sealed it on... try twisting it to break the seal rather than just pulling it good luck
  4. cheers wrxhoon think its time to replace mine then... i get a bearing type noise when taking slight right bends (even changing lanes sometimes) i have 4 stud wheels which probably means i have different wheel bearings to a typical r33? anyone sourced these before?
  5. yes thats it... whoop whoop so these can be fixed or must they be replaced? i'd hate to think how much they cost from nissan
  6. How do you repack the wheel bearings? What are the signs of them needing to be repacked... noisy etc? cheers
  7. I'm a LFS convert now. The physics are incredible
  8. yeah 2 up front and singles on back i thought

BOOSTD i thought 0.50 volts was standard. why 0.43?
  10. maybe your car was an ex speedway saloon that was constanly sprayed with dirt and mud. but seriously, i'm surprised more imports aint all rusty because in places where it snows, they put salt on the roads to help clear it dont they?
  11. if the timing light pickup is placed on the wire in the reverse direction, you get a reading much higher than you should. this is the only wierd thing i have seen with some rb25 engines
  12. ouch... hard luck dude
  13. warming the engine up is only part of it. the gearbox and diff etc need to be warmed also. start it cold and just drive off taking it easy at first.
  14. wait till the next time it rains - go driving for a while on an open road and see if the noise disappears. this will tell you if the noise is internal or external to the box. i had a real bad creaking noise from my pedal a few months ago but a day of driving in the rain fixed it. worth a thought
  15. under 2k in 2nd is going to be putting a bit of load on the engine if accelerating. too much ignition timing would make this even worse and create an even louder rattle.
  16. the old gto is a battle to keep straight under power ... love it
  17. heh its amazing what ya get used to hey. Its like the tooth fairy snuck in and installed brembos last night
  18. i replaced all my 3 belts yesterday due to annoying squeaks. the old belts dont look that bad for condition. but with the new ones on its quieter than its ever been. as said, take em off one by one... you'll find the culprit
  19. this is cool. the supra and 360 modena go like the clappers should see a skyline before too long i would think only works with a controller (no keys)
  20. when you say misfire, do you mean a single miss or feels like its a held choking feeling. power comes back on after 5000rpm? if this is the case, your AFM is dodgy. swap it with a freind's working afm and i'm betting your problem is gone. cheers
  21. had all 4 discs machined and new lucas pads go in today... the rear discs were slightly warped and caused a vibe in the stearing. car stops like it should now cost: $320 the pads that were in it were original items. lasted forever and no dust but performed bad.
  22. bolted straight up to my type s... no mods required from memory there is about 3 axle stud patterns. there is a yellow/orange "L.S.D." sticker on the top passenger side of the diff housing. above the axles. hard to see from under car. could try with a small mirror. cheers
  23. correct... both series of 33 gts25 have vvt i believe its only the first 25des in the r32 gts25 that didnt have vvt a lot of r33 gts25 (type s) manuals have 4.3:1 lsd standard. I actually killed my 4.3 lsd and simply swapped it for a 4.11 lsd from a gts25t cheers
  24. just been reading about this...sounds good... and free download at www.nkzone.com
  25. i'm booked in to get all 4 new pads and discs machined on tuesday. gonna be about $300 The guy has recommended using lucas (spelling?) pads over the bendix advance... (same price) these a good choice?
