  1. Think it kicks in when the cat is about 500c
  2. You have to ask yur tuner first if they tune that particular ECU first, PFC's are usually cheaper to tune because most workshops have worked with them before, whereas the Blitz unit im not too sure.
  3. Hmm I thought they did, I stand corrected then
  4. R32 GTR and R33 GTR stock ecus are different, 2 injectors are switched at the loom plug and the R32 GTR doesn't have VCT. So I'm wondering if the R32 GTR version of the PFC will switch the injectors automatically and have VCT working?
  5. I'll be interested as well, though would like to know what modification needs to be done to fit to R32 GTR
  6. The RDA gold passivated slotted rotors, do they have any other advantages than corrosion protection over the normal slotted rotors by RDA, and why is corrosion an issue (does it affect future machining?)?
  7. You need to adjust the latency of the injectors in Nistune, only resizing the injectors isn't enough. Find the latency of the injectors in milliseconds, then times that figure by 2 and input that into Nistune.
  8. Sounds like air in the system, the air bleeder is near the pressure regulator and the balance tube
  9. Tuyrns out I don't have a Intake Manifold leak, so I'm selling my metal gasket kit (Metal intake manifold gasket, metal exhaust gasket, and set of metal throttle body gaskets) to suit RB26DETT, picture uploaded of the exhaust gasket acouple pages back. Looking for $215 for the set.
  10. My main issue with guard rolling is the paintwork, I've never had it done to any cars I've owned before, so I'm alittle worried about disadvantages of getting them done.
  11. I'll look into R33 GTR rims as well, I didn't realise they were 17's
  12. Take photos of the items in question
  13. Sounds like the oil pressure switch is in the way? With rb26's you pretty much need to attack the oil filter from underneath with a oil filter wrench or another type of oil filter remover, normal oil filter removers you would normally use on a commodore just aren't very effective.
  14. I've got a genuine Nissan thermostat in my GTR, and my radiator temp didn't budge from 86c after 6x 15m sessions at the track, standard radiator too.
  15. You have a oil catch can that you dont know about, that is possibly full of oil and excess oil spilling out?
  16. From my observation when I was at Mallala last month, all the skyline, evo and wrx (sti wagon anyway) owners were behaving themselves, I distinctively remember a blue XR5, 2 sleepers (one a datsun, the other a gemini) and a VE commodore (think it was a SS?) driving like f**ktards forcing inside lines and overtaking dangerously in corners (basically doing everything the piece of paper you signed listed not to do) even though I was moving out of the way and letting them past down the straights in each session.
  17. Hicas light coming on is definitely not normal (same for any of the other lights)
  18. Could have a intake manifold gasket leak, spraying aerostart or brake cleaner around the throttle body gaskets and the manifold gasket and see if the engine noise changes pitch.
  19. I have no idea what cc the stock injectors are, if say theyre 440cc, the stock ECU will keep thinking that it has 440cc injectors in there, no matter if you go bigger injectors (run extremely rich) or small injectors (run extremely lean).. I would look into getting a PFC, or getting a Z32 ecu and the Nistune daughterboard installed as (probably won't keep VCT with this option)
  20. try emailing Matt from Nistune, he should know a serial number for the ecu at least
  21. Open your boot, take off the bit on the driver's side and check your ATTESSA fluid level
  22. Does it feel like it's stalling? how does it idle?
  23. Those jap chips are tuned for 100ron, pretty sure the Mines chip is 100ron too
  24. Most likely own timing, part of the agreement you sign with the one day track license iirc is that you won't be recording your lap times.
  25. I'm not that into getting my guards rolled, mainly I want to keep the stock thing going, I think 245's all around will suit me. Is 245 the limit with R34 GTR rims destined for track use?
