  1. I do have proper offset lmgt4s now, still 18" but wider and +12, they fill it out nicely. what was on it for that photo was stock offset and size.
  2. What does the standard carbon v-spec bonnet look like if the paint were stripped? would it show an ugly weave or something?
  3. over there, a hearse looks different. You haven't seen six feet under?
  4. sounds like the easier option is not play the song.
  5. you gotta get something you can't get anywhere else. the bonus is you get to bring it back to australia for $3k and no taxes and maybe make a profit. You're in LA, always sunny, always parking, valet outside every restaurant, so get this for $15k: http://www.dreamcarclassicsonline.com/cgi/...p;allphotos=L01 or look through these: http://motors.shop.ebay.com/items/Cars-Tru...506Q2ec0Q2em283
  6. as per the other topic, I'm also selling the harmony 1000, as I upgraded. what you get is the original box, the harmony 1000, the battery (but it no longer holds a charge for long, so you need to obtain another battery from ebay) and the holster it sits in with power plug, and a USB cable for programming it. The software you can download from the logitech site
  7. if I had to guess I'd say the bass was shaking a connector that has a dodgy contact. there are fault codes when something like that happens so provoke it and scan the car, it might help identify what bit of the system is losing.
  8. my front lip is off here, and I've different rims now, and carbon lifts under the rear wing.. and these are ganador LEDs but this is the general idea.
  9. as described. location sydney pickup ok.
  10. It is hard to tell for sure being night, but the GTR driver looked way out of his depth. Lucky he crashed at that early stage of ownership - otherwise a tree would have killed him on another road. It was the car committing suicide rather than put up with the owner. as for the evo driver, he shouldn't be bragging about his role in it all.
  11. Hakki did my system front to back late last year. I was very happy. I provided the ipod integration gadget, which came with a little wireless remote you velcro onto the handbrake so you can pause or go from track to track without picking up the ipod. He did a custom buried floor sub enclosure removable, trimmed it in the same boot carpet and he did a custom amp install that looks factory. He also did awesome kick panel mounted floor tweeters, covered also to look factory. my only (not real) gripe is he is too busy - because I want to go back for some more HKS controller integration into the second din pocket, and have to wait weeks to get a slot!
  12. firewall is on by default, you don't need anti-virus.
  13. That doesn't make any sense. If you put 20kg on a wing, there is 20kg more on the tire contact patch. Full stop. Doesn't matter how much the wing or boot lid flexes.. unless it flexes so much it changes the aerofoil shape (unlikely). or pushes it down & out of the slipstream (impossible)!
  14. ubuntu is increasingly good and I plan to try the lightweight version, xubuntu, designed for notebooks. there is too much bloat when mainly laptop use is about the browser.. games support is the downer but get a console and to a large extent forget about the hassle of running games on a PC.
  15. I don't think so, they just (supposedly) don't cavitate at 8000+ rpm, due to a different impeller design.
  16. Are we back to concluding higher spring rates are best? I'm looking at the japanese GT-R magazine, and it has specs for all the japanese tuner cars in each issue, the last one, issue 132 shows these spring rates. Written as front/rear or just one number if one was given. 17. coventry fastners for the win this morning, The guy took the bit off me, disappeared then returned with the right bolt x4, nut and an allen key, for $10.. and I didn't have to buy a box of 100 of them..
  18. thanks! "bolt bloke" is a new one for me! I'll start with Coventry Fasteners, they have branches all over. the problem is finding someone who will want to take a look at it .. the profit margin on selling 4 bolts to a guy who doesn't know which one he wants is deeply -ve !
  19. g'day you know how something really simple suddenly takes all time available? So I need four screws, I think they are machine screws. I don't know the dimensions, can only carry into the shop the part that contains the embedded threads, that they would screw into .. I've tried jaycar - they have a range, but not up to the dia I want. I've tried bunnings, and the ones they sell don't seem to quite work.. I'm trying the ones that bolted on my diffuser, and they are close but not right.. so now I'm stuck! where else can I try around sydney before hitting up mail order places and buying all kinds hoping for a match!
  20. I was curious about the state of the car post wreck, after hearing him on the radio say the damage was far worse than they first suspected. It took a while to find, but the pic (from his targa blog) is here: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v468/Ban...ga-Crash-01.jpg
  21. someone screwed up and sent me the wrong part. Cool as hell - ARC titanium cooling panel. It is this one: http://image.www.rakuten.co.jp/carshop-nag...0193156810.jpeg Before i go to the hassle of sending it back, does anyone want to buy it for $250 which is $50 off the nengun list price - and they don't have it in stock anyway. location: sydney
  22. Bump. offers, not lowballers, are welcome!
  23. I just took off my stock v-spec ii brembos and they had nismo s-tune pads, they were great. No squealing under any circumstances and I didn't find their limits but they have them, being street/track pads rather than track/street pads! they were replaced with stoptechs using A1RM (or K750) pads I for from melbourne, and so far no squeal, but they are rated for higher temps than the s-tune pads.
  24. I finished the campaign and the total looks about 7-8 hours - but I suck. reflexes of a septuagenarian And the last battle was too hard for me.. the last 30% of the game really steps up the pace and variety, vs the first half.
