  1. Ash, the z32 is the same size as the std GTST AFM
  2. thats good news, hopefully i dont have this problem when i finish assembling mine
  3. if its leaking try blanking it off, swapping it out, or removing the vacuum line from it
  4. any body repair place can do it, or find a tool box workshop/sheetmetal work and get them to do it. its not hard, but it will cost you for someone to do it.
  5. well if you upgrade to these other turbo's later (gt30r or GT35) then your front pipes/dump pipe will change anyway so i wouldnt use that argument. i would say that the extra exhaust flow from the 3L will benefit from the larger dump pipe and Cat - but would wait til you upgrade to save costs
  6. 25psi boost plus 38psi base fuel pressure = 63psi so wont explode
  7. yes yes it will. just put a S2 cluster into my car, air bag light is always on, but thats it interesting to see what the S1 into S2 would cause though.
  8. there is always another way, that is horrible and i bet painful for you . feel for ya only way to really fix it is to have the holes welded back up, prepped then painted. or another dodgy fix for when the boots open, use rubber grommets from clark rubber.
  9. well here it is for ya http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=113284 i got a little bored
  10. perhaps in addition to this, check the DIY section for the repairing gtr AFM's thread, so you can check the dry solder joints within the AFM
  11. awesome, thanks for the reply, was bascically what i had planned just wanted to confirm good luck with the remainder of your restoration
  12. have used them for the last 3-4 years in my 33, havent needed to change to others doing 1:15's around wakefield for full 20 minute sessions and never had an issue with them pulling up, slight change of pedal feel after 20 mins but thats more than likely due to older brake fluid that has done alot of track days without a change. this is running with dba4000 rotors without slots (long story)
  13. not a hassle
  14. KH9 is the factory black, which already has a metallic within it. As for pearls, you would want some examples painted as black will not be too kind in showing the pearl (unless its painted in the clear and not the colour-which changes the appearance outof the sun too)
  15. look at the vacuum hose on the back of the plenum that attaches to the sensor on the firewall in next to the brake booster.. make sure its not cracked or disconnected
  16. what did you use to prep the subframe for paint with? did you just degrease everything then paint over what was there? or did you strip the old paint off and start again, either with sand blasting or wire brush etc. just about to do this with a mech diff im putting into my car, and curious on how you prepped it up for repainting.
  17. thats good to hear
  18. i've got a ZX2R and can confirm that they are awesome fun to ride, but a dangerous form of fun. 3 weeks into riding i had a pedentrian walk out on the road behind the truck i was following at 60km/h .. needless to say that 3-4 car lengths of time at 60 isnt enough to do anything. ended up on the wrong side of the road with a broken and dislocated ankle. still ride, still go up the old road, but am very wary of everything ad still get cut off by cars changing lanes EVERY time i take the bike out. she's getting a respray now, but still wanna go riding all the time. the biggest thing i've noticed, is that if you sit in traffic and just go with the flow, you are in more danger than if you are the one determining what you do and not others (similar to the lane splitting idea in a previous long post )
  19. what ECU you running? injector sizing? etc etc
  20. looks awesome sam... we taking craved there now ???
  21. ahhh yeah, its still funnny
  22. awwww the link is broken lol i wanna know what it was
  23. get your head gasket place it on the block in place with the dowels in place to confirm its placement die grind it til it is flush with the gasket on these rear galleries, no need to be bigger than the hole in your gasket
  24. YES YES YES there was a recent thread here about the Slidingperformance 33 highflow on an R32 - think CEFFIE was the author of the thread. do a quick search and all the above are covered
  25. yes you can with all turbos pretty sure the trust TD06 has a single lock bolt on the back of the compressor housing, then runs a circlip type seal, undo the bolt and spin the housing
