  2. Just putting forward an idea to include a section specifically for Fabrication this would include ideas and feedback on tools used - welders/band saws/lathes etc etc methods of fabrication - metal Fab/Welding/fibreglassing problems encountered during Fabrication (help) Custom car fabrication/roll cages/rust repair Basically any tips and ideas for the DIY people that doesnt exactly fit into engine work or body kits. these could include things like custom seat rail fabrication tips on welding methods fabricating custom IC piping and ways and techniques fabricating IC mounts/ oil cooler mounts surge tank boxes out of the square conversions build your own strut braces just a few ideas that encapsulate the idea of the new forum section. Any aditional ideas and feedback welcome. This would hopefully allow some of the more knowledgeable fabricators out there to share their tips and tricks. Cheers Chris

  5. have you thought about changing to a rb25 fan, i have read many times that they draw more air than the rb20 fans just an option.
  6. my dash was similar, speedo didnt work at all, and occasionally the tacho wouldnt work either replaced the dash on saturday and its all fixed, was either the internals of the dash or the contacts on the 3 plugs that go into the dash.

  19. or the dry solders broke in the top section of the unit. do a search on fixed gtr afms in the tutorials section, shows you how to repair the solders on the contacts within the unit. try that before looking to replace

  21. this would be handy to have, i was going to just use the rb25 torque settings on the bottom end of mine.
  22. further on that, perhaps the crank was machined too far for the bearing? meaning that thecrank was able to shift forward or back, which cracked it ... similar to the clearance a big end bearing requires, im sure that the thrust bearings have them too.
  23. EPA is the ones you have to watch though, police defect you - you gte it fixed. EPA get you and you get sent to the RTA testing sites, run on a dyno til your emmisions are correct - if not you dont drive the car til it is. never mind the court hearing you'll get if your done twice.
  24. oh, that throws a spanner in the works doesnt it lol
