that picture does not show a relocation plate, or the 3 hoses required for a relocation kit.
and more than likely it will just fit behind the intercooler, out of sight.
hha yeah 3 of them, need to remove the cam gears to get to the front one easily.
even worse on teh rb30e's, cant figure out how they even got the bolt in teh hole at the front lol
i use a engine crane, even with the head only, so manifolds stay on.
what size rear housing has your turbo got?
options at reducing that before opening the motor?
comparison :
my car - HKS 3040 with 1.12 rear housing and tomei poncams - full boost 5000rpm
friends car - garret gt30 with 0.82 rear housing and STD cams - full boost 5000rpm
doubt its just being HKS that can make the turbos similar with that much difference in rear housing size.
cheers
the front cam cover i am going to prime anyway, too many scratches on it, was just doubel checking as alot of these engine components actually are textured and i want them smooth.
thanks again
true, but if you have an air box setup you wouldnt really need to SEE the reducer.
my airbox has the AFM and filter inside it, and the hole is at the 4" section, so you cant see that its reduced at all.
will be interesting to see once mine is finally assembled, i already have the plazmaman plenum installed on my rb25.
This will go on the rb30 so we'll see how it goes. wish i could afford to test the short runner vs long runner plenums back to back.
oh i wish i wasnt too lazy to work out and convert the speed to RPM
definately more in it, and looking the goods, expecting to see earlier spool with the leaner off boost tune?
the only difference on the water pumps is the 10mm bolt, for all RB's, which isnt really needed to fit the pump, if you use correct tensions and sealant.
there are internal differences in the size and amount of fins though.
