  1. measure the voltage at the battery whens its running .. should be about 14.5V
  2. http://www.nengun.com/catalogue/product/76 $900 for something you know works vs whatever it costs you for something your not sure about.
  3. http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarre...1R_700382_3.htm http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarre...R_700382_20.htm try doing some research, you have been handed some info on a good choice. price will depend on where you get it custom dump pipe = YES - depends where you get it made response - go for the 0.64 platter served
  4. heres a handy site http://www.csgnetwork.com/compcalc.html
  5. perhaps the location of the breathers, on hard launches the GTR breathers at the back of the motor assists any oil in the head to exit the breather and enter the catch can.
  6. i'll measure the block i have at home and see. side note : nice superman moderator group tag
  7. yep, come with a banjo style check valve . bout 50 for a screw in check valve, plus the push on fitting it will need.
  8. all needed anyway i have the HKS version of the 3040 291rwkw on 18psi with poncams i have the 1.12 rear housing, so fairly laggy at full boost at 5000rpm without cams you will still get boost about 4000 rpm-ish with that housing.. cant say for sure,
  9. ahh found related posts thinking on this, there is only 1 way the block can breath, and thats through these rear oil returns. isnt there always some level of blow by anyway? whether this results in oil out the breathers or not doesnt remove the pressure being forced up into the head covers to escape.
  10. use std pump as the lift pump. depending on how many fitings on your surge tank as to how you do it. i used the return from the engine into the surge tank, and fed the overflow on the surge tank back into the fuel retun line on the fuel tank cap. less mucking about that way i found
  11. heat affects the fuel pumps, and they will be hotter without fuel in them, you can buy check valves from motorsport connections in seven hills (behind hungry jacks)
  12. Is engine oil drain into the sump affected by the pressure within the block? could putting a external breather on the sump (as i have seen in old holden 5L) to allow it to breath better without having to get to the head and out the head breathers allow for better flow of the oil back into the sump ??
  13. couple of threads for painting cars and whats done from 3 years ago when i did mine http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...amp;hl=painting http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...spray&st=40 do have another link from before the forums migrations, trying to get link fixed and will post it up. has some walkthrough on how to do each step
  14. Bl4cK32 - there was an issue in the first or 2nd drift battle for repairs. fibre glass repairs are fairly easy, you do need to remove some material from the crack then reinforce from the rear of the bar which will slightly fill in the gap you just made, then sand back any over hang into the front of the piece. then use an automotive putty (try to get the fibreglass to fill it mostly) then sand back. there is then a small tin of red quick dry putty available from repco/autoone etc that is pre mixed and only suitable for up to 2mm, that you wipe over to fill in the very fine bubbles dents etc .. then once its near perfect, use a can of primer/filler .. then wet/dry the area til all the area is flush . old paint and new section, ready for the respray of the item
  15. external 044 off 1.2 L surge tank
  16. bosche 040, tomei bolt in, nismo check out http://www.nengun.com try a search as well
  17. i have had it once only, ina very hot day after a fill ... bit scary as i was smoking at the time too lol never happened since .. in 5 years
  18. what fuel pump is it adam? could be struggling with the high temps from the track work heating up the fuel, and general abient temp changes
  19. you might be thinking of the thread asking if the rb25 ECU can be used on the RB20 .. there are injector pins outs different. also look at the Power FC FAQ on pauls site http://paulr33.skylinesaustralia.com in documents it has the pin out change over GIF that i think cubes made with the differences in teh pinouts. if your realy keen to do it, start in there
  20. yep around there, if the std pump is getting old and not flowing enough for that extra hit of power.
  21. that would depend on what you do with the car and power levels track car with power - run surge tank with external street car with power, can run internal if it flows enough lightly modded street car - internal
  22. hes ahead of you already
  23. thats a shame, 240 body is much nicer
  24. you can get it tuned without them, see if your happy with the power, then upgrade if you want more
  25. the levels are not the same from rb20 to rb25 i would guesstimate over 230kw for safety you wont get that on std turbo
