  1. From the rails i have seen, especially the side mount seats rails, its just flat bar bent up with tabs welded for the mounts you could go 50/50 and simply brace the bride rail better by adding flat bar sections to re-inforce the mounts and make a T or angle from the forward facing sections.
  2. hahaha no problem, yeah bigger slave to lighten the pedal feel will chat to the shop that did the brake kit and see how much it cost, we had that done to the 1jz 5 speed slave in the sprinter but i dont remember the costs. haha what?
  3. all good steve - thanks for trying
  4. pretty much any excuse to use my dimple dies, shame i had the holes a little too close together, thought 1 inch space between the holes would be enough
  5. haha ok, cheers andrew Welcome to craved's over engineering shop new alloy number plate holder - hopefully it will be strong enough to hold cameras/lap timers etc once it comes to that
  6. Throw up some shots of the engine bay dude everyone likes an engine shot
  7. It does have coolant running through it like the 25, but you can remove the large mass of the plenum from that to some extent.
  8. Looking sweet! was that cone hard to source?
  9. advan ao48's the noise isnt too bad, but im a bit paranoid after so many changes. got another set of rims with ao48's on them, could always try them on the silver car and see how the noise compares
  10. Hard luck with the valves Nathan. hows the car going now?
  11. drop some oil in the spark plug holes and try again - were all the spark plugs out also?
  12. Having never driven on semi slicks before - do they have alot of road noise? like a whine sort of noise? hope its just the tyres lol either that or the 2 way is transfering alot of noise/vibration with the urethane bushes in the complete cradle
  13. i had a customer come in and this was all he had done to his motor (holden v6) and he said he had made gains on the dyno. i would just do the 3mm either side of the ITBs and leave it at that
  14. i know a tow driver will be coming into my shop shortly, i'll try to remember to ask him about that. biggest thing with those trailers would be the need for a trailer rego and lights to be remote and hang from the back of the car somehow.
  15. haha cool cool Steve-o
  16. haha all good matt and thanks! - will see what steve-o can do first, and the cost of the bore and new piston for modifying the stocker. o0o0o t56 6 speed hey - hydrolic thrust engagement changes things up a bit
  17. 30620-RS580 i believe
  18. anyone got a spare r33 gtst series 1 clutch slave cylinder? left leg is too weak for the clutch now lol - get a spare bored out to 20.54mm or similar like the nismo slaves. well if tis cheaper than the $154 i'd pay getting the nismo one shipped over from JPN
  19. Anyone looked into those car trailers that are common in the USA? basically you put the front wheels up on it and the rear wheels roll like a tow truck.. be alot better for storage as its less than half the length of a car trailer and would only need a single axle.. just a thought
  20. I think the idle is relearning as its getting better- found that the IAC under the plenum was unplugged lol so fixed that also adjusted the handbrake so its real loose now to protect the alloy drums. felt a clicking in the brakes, turned out it was just the master cyl stopper was a bit loose so tightened that up and the brakes feel alot firmer and more touchy than before i swapped to the brembo's Hopefully the brake shop i use still has the bias testers so i can see what the brakes are doing as i suspect the rears are working harder than the fronts
  21. going to lower the rear 10mm, that should raise the front the 3mm i need to be legal there. might also need to get the guards rolled before i correct out all the camber on the rear during the wheel alignment that will hopefully take place later in the week
  22. gave it a run around the complex, handbrake needs adjusting and a wheel alignment big time.. few rattles in my cold side piping as its not permanant. gave her a rinse too, might try a proper wash tomorrow
  23. cheers Daniel, will have to start hunting for them, also need the loom for it too .. sigh lol hmm Matt, this is different to their in oil treatments? so like a carbie cleaner product? subaru service centre is just at the front of my complex so might be able to get some today
  24. Anyone know if the 33 gtst knock sensors are the same as 32-33 GTR ?
  25. got the boot installed last night when a mate came around, its not really a one man job. hopefully get the pins back today, so i can drive the car out and give it a wash Also swapped out my Sard FPR for a nismo item, much neater install now - just a bit fiddly testing the pressure before the swap and after. Just glad my mechanic lent me his guage for a couple of hours for it. Nismo FPR is super easy to adjust. Still some troubleshooting to be done, my idle is a bit dicky after 55 degrees water temp, tap the throttle and it idles at 2000rpm. This can be driven out by doing a lap of the block, or by disconnecting the AAC's plug. Might download the powerFC's map to the laptop and do a reset, then reload the map see if the idle learning procedure makes a difference.
