  1. have a set of 2nd hand rods and pistons from an R32 GTR Rods will be direct fit for RB25 and RB26 After $250 FIRM located in western SYDNEY, definately prefer pickup.. cheers
  2. question for Sky30 . or anyone who knows what rear housing are you using on the GT3540 ?? and have you got a newer dyno sheet than the one you posted in the RB30 results thread?
  3. i have the same thing on my HKS 3040 . small puddle on the silicon joiner on the Compressor inlet .. same as you i dont have the catch can return going into the pipe either. i bought mine 2nd hand, but if you bought it new from a garrett reseller try asking them or garrett directly
  4. ahh ok thanks Gary will contact them directly
  5. thats gonna be very nasty, since you wont be able to get the trim off while the door is closed..
  6. yeah thats the genuine EL panel ones..
  7. depends on the bar .. if it has a separated grille where the section between the lights remains then i cant see how the bonnet and lights can affect that..
  8. no you dont need new gears when changing the cams. that depends on the results your after, mostly saif that tomei give the best results with std location. where as other a/m cams can be adjusted to give different results
  9. to make the most of them yes..
  10. it should, since only the grille section is different between the 2 models.
  11. for less than $100 in parts its worth doing as Joe said..
  12. just a sort of related question.. Spool and Par .. do they have shop fronts in the sydney area?
  13. or remove the wing, sane back and paint the holes, then get new rubber seals for under the wing. or just weld up the holes and run no wing
  14. shouldn't open at all when stationary aslong as it looks firmly attached kick the exhaust at the cat when the car is off to listen for loose material in the cat .. ie exhaust wheel
  15. enough of a leak to have no boost would mean that all the air is pumping out of the pipe... unless your running a MAP sensor it wont be that check the wastegate arm on the turbo from actuator to the wastegate flap.
  16. turn the car off, and kick or hit the exhaust gently with a mallet... if it rattles then your Cat is broken and you'll need a new one..
  17. i have heaps of board at home, but it doesn't have the metal backing on it, i could use wires, but that looks neater and easier. i used wires when i ran mine since they are in series and didn't have the board lol still works as you can see.
  18. if that is a GTR upgrade IC from justjap, then the outlets are 3" .. what is the size of the STD GTR intercooler endtank pipes?
  19. is that outlet on the left side not round? looks like it in the first pic.. you'll want someone to fix that before you try to use it cos it wont seal well..
  20. plazmaman plenums retain the std throttle cable. just a hint incase anyone used that and is reading this
  21. cheers mate
  22. that looks like a custom IC of some description.. dont like how the lower pipe is like a semicircle rather than a whole pipe. should be fine on std'ish car, but i wouldn't use it in high power app.. looks very restrictive just my opinion though..
  23. couple of questions, i have to make one of these for a friend soon, what is that circuit board you are using? has it just got the 5 lines of conductivity so you use that instead of wires? im guessing jaycar has this board as well. with the filing of the end of the LED is there a limit of how much you should file it? or just make part of the top flat? oh and side note - ive been pulled over plenty of times at night and this mod as a brake like has never been mentioned to me once.
  24. 15deg BTDC at idle
  25. Catch can is a bit general term to use.. catch cans are there for engine failures type issues so the oil is caught in that rather than sprayed all over the road/track .. this is a must have in every form of racing i've been involved with. oil air separators that can do the above job aswell are for removing the oil vapour from the air leaving the head. and not re-introducing it into the combustion process.
