  5. this one should really go in the . "report that engine failure" thread
  6. well im guessing the piston and rod rolling around in the block will cause a bit of knock
  7. well i wouldn't start that way, have a look around for a kit and wing you like, its all gonna have to be sprayed anyway.. so make what you like fit, dont like what will fit.. fancy interior there ...

  10. just remember to read the details regarding these cams on nengun they do state that the series 2 cams are for post 9/97 produced cars.. all the rest of r33's run the series 1 cams..
  11. sounded like any other atmo PSSCHHTT bov .. no difference maybe wasn't as loud would be about it.
  12. i loved that infloor heating .. i want it awesome news that its so close.
  13. yeah these aren't welded, but they tap studs into them.. but there is a spacer at the bottom of the plenum to raise it like the std one, so not metal on metal.. there is about 3mm i think ones of these is wrong and not clamping down close enough to the runners flange.. will see how it goes, carby cleaner does show the leak with the car revving up a little. but is audible when quickly opening the throttle.. bit of hessitation on the road when it does it.
  14. no stalling at all related to the 50,50 setup i had. each car is different though, they are worse than people sometimes lol
  15. the fuel pressure regulator will regulate the pressure to its desired level... if its working fine, you shouldn't have any issues with the car running more rich.
  16. def check for leaks with the plazmaman plenum.. im still trying to sort mine out, something between the plenum and std runners is leaking, even with new nissan gasket. mines very touchy when idling too.
  17. Looks good Paul and Stace did you get the fruit bowl done to match?? cant wait to hear how the two of you go once its all bolted up and tuned.. all the best
  18. they are also used on circuit racing cars too.. you dont know what he is using it for so ease up. plus it helps some of us that do have the issue of the tacho moving to quick to read it up there.. the joys of lag then wheelspin... Alan, you might not "use it" but i bet you notice it, just never rely on it to make a change.. the subconcious is a handy tool. meh
  19. haha John, be prepared that no matter what you use, as soon as you start her up its gonna have smoke everywhere .
  20. GFB hybrid was installed on my car for years, no issues with stalling from it, full atmo was swapped and i had that issue.. it will be better than a full atmo.
  21. here is some info for ya.. http://gdz1la.kol.co.nz/prod01.htm use what ever leads attach to your coils and your plugs at a quality you can afford.
  22. compression test to check for blow by. install a catch can if thats fine.. does it use oil? seeing you've only just started to drive it.. check oil levels, top up and check regularly.
  23. yeah it cant be bad... im at about 380kms and just gone to the 1/4 left mark ... so it cant be that bad .. just need the free timne to read through that thread, can concentrate on it while im at work .. like i am now lol how good is your economy Paul?
  24. have you thought about machining them if they are still within legal specs? costs about $40 and then put new pads on.. save your cash for now, til you can find this better price..
  25. closed loop should be bouncing the AFR's from lean to stoich. i think its like 10 times per minute or something, not just sitting in the stoich area on the guage.. i think the condition affects how responsive the unit is. Bluer33 - safc would allow you to tune the ECU beter for more economy as the std maps are fairly rich when your giving it to the car.. gaps would only help if they are wrong and not the correct gap.. most people run 0.8 for under 1bar of boost. dont think a dump would help economy too much, except that it would help with power, so less throttle to do the same as before.. so yes it might, as long as your right foot is in check.
