  1. where abouts in sydney? still got the documentation for the eids unit?
  2. anyone know where to get the holders for the bulbs besides nissan? mine are gone wanna get this fixed up.. need to be able to see it once i move the unit to the glove box
  3. hahaha, just took out the unit .. found the reason my lights have never worked....... cos there wasn't any  now im gonna have to wait for someone to find out what is the replacement bulb... basically looks like a push and turn with 2 tabs opposite each other. but the terminals are on the flat surface that it clicks into.. i can take a pic if you still want it.
  4. havent done the fix yet, been working on my IC piping .. might go do it now!
  5. cheers for the help RANDY and Jetpilot... ive got plenty of experience taing the dash to bits.. mine been customised a fair bit by myself.. must be a fairly comon thing, cos im not sure ive ever seen any light up lol
  6. which rb25 head are you using?
  7. the black stuff is sikaflex, can be bought from supercheap, comes in a tube like selleys all clear etc.. if part i leaking, best to remove the whole light (hard work) and reseal the whole unit.
  8. haha mine have never worked lol, thought it was wierd that they didn't have lights in them lol (nearly 5 years haha) how did you get to the globes? does the face just disconnect?
  9. bleed point is at the front right of the plenum on the rb25 .. bets to use that as that is the highest point of the water system.
  10. haha - bugger lol ive seen a few whole Vl's for around $300 but i dont wanna mess around with selling the parts of and be stuck with a shell lol havent checked the calais website though .. cheers
  11. i've been searching everywhere for RB30 blocks for that price range, not as comon as they seem.
  12. looks like that to me too, would only be useful if you had the "across the front" IC piping and no factory air box.
  13. the AAC valve itself could be the fault.
  14. so with the filter direct to the block i does have issues with the thread being too long? havent pulled apart the std oil cooler to see if it runs its own separate thread for the filter or not.
  15. um its craved  , but yeah i did mine a year or so ago .. my LEDs are right behind the letters which means that if the lights aren't square to the panel. it looks different at diff angles.. Very good write up though Al. very nice! EDIT : i use mine as the 3rd brake light after the removal of the std wing and light...
  16. the vacuum from the engine should help the BOV to open, the boost should hold it closed and vacuum help it open.
  17. if it slows down the flow of water your temps will suffer around town.. sounds much like the N1 water pumps, which run slower to reduce cavitation at high rpm .. i wouldnt use it on a street car .
  18. does the RB30 allow for use of the factory oil cooler from the RB25? if you dont want to run it are there any things you need to do to allow the external coolers sandwich plate to bolt to the block without leaking?
  19. whats the general price on a rb26 head? only reason i didn't go that way was due to the new exhaust manifold, and inlet plenum i just bought and installed on the RB25..
  20. check all your intercooler piping for leaks/cracks.. sounds alot like how the car acts when my IC pipes blow off .. somewhere to start anyway. does it blow any smoke? can you hear an air leak when reving with your hand?
  21. definately sounds like rings to me.. has it been tuned? AFR ok? compression test will tell the story though .. would think that it would still boost past 7 psi though
  22. im sure that would have been followed by some VERY colourful words
  23. umm i think i'll learn from your examples thanks
  24. oh. whoops .. damn sucks for us thiwas the only mention of it that i had seen. nice FAQ though Paul !
  25. taken from Pauls power FC FAQ .. http://members.dodo.com.au/paul/docs/power...erfc-faq.htm#41 "Airtemp sensor on unsupported car? Some PowerFC's have support for the AirTemp sensor under MONITOR but the car itself does not utilize a factory air temp inlet sensor. I attempted to hook up an airtemp sensor on my ECR33 PowerFC and fried the powerfc and damaged a sensor on my car. The concept was to look at which pin on the BNR33 PowerFC the air temp sensor was connected on and then try and replicate this on the ECR33 PowerFC. I tried this and it did not work, I tried an adjacent wire and it fried the PowerFC. It has since been fixed and all is working but I do not recommend you try to get this working. It may work out costly like it could have been in my case. "
