  1. how does.... pennant hills road ... cumberland highway.. then right towards liverpool (rd name unsure) then onto the highway to the picton exit.. and most people know the rest of the way.. hows that sound?

  3. running rich wont harm the engine, perhaps may foul the plugs a little, but that easy to clean off. get someone to check it out. ive noticed that some cars react more to atmo BOV's than others.
  4. just remember that brakes, diffs and fuel systems are worse when getting non turbo cars for turbo applications. unless your spending up real big and replacing all that stuff anyway.
  5. what turbo? what size wastegate? what car was it on? photos?
  6. may have always been there, but the previous people used a thicker oil to tone down the noise..

  9. hey PRESA .. im going to my engine builders tomorrow to pick my RB25 head .. i'll check the SR20 thats sitting at the workshop... also have some stock CA18 ones sitting at a mates that i can check too.. would be easier if you could give us the numbers on the plate between the housings would make it easier!!

  12. :lol: i havent looked into the differences in the rods etc as yet but i guess you just solved that issue for me! I've had a look for aftermarket rods .. only see I-beam rods .. anyone found H-Beam rods for the RB30? still alot of reading for me to do til i catch up with everything!

So much to read and learn in this thread!!! already read the guide but im sure most of my questions are answered already in here ... one i do want to know soon though is : is anyone running GTR rods in the RB30? got a set here and gonna start building one for later down the track .. so just wondering if anyone has them and if they would be better than the std. rb30 rods????

  18. hey guys ,, my cars currently unregistered and still not running.. the 3 month NSW interim after the rego runs out. now i have til saturday next ... and im hoping the car will be done. BUT if it isn't i'll need to know what is REALLY required to pass a blue slip???? i was under the impression that it had to go back to standard .. but i've been informed they maybe that isn't the case ... can anyone confirm the truth for me please ??? cheers
  19. red -- you sure about this one ... if you dont get fuel pressure then the pump is not getting power .. this is controlled via the ECU .. do the lights on the dash go on when you turn the key??? like the engine light and oil light etc come on when cranking.. mine shuts of for 1 second when turniong mine over after putting the power FC in. then come on and it starts! the turbo timer shouldn't come on til your key turns to acc.
  20. How many litres required for the gearbox and diffs in an R33 gtst?

At what rev range do the hydrolic lifters start pumping up though? this would be the main issue regarding revving high before the rods etc start bending. ive got a set of GTR rods at home , thinking about whether solid lifters are required to have the 25 revving to 8000rpm as limit with the bigger 3040 turbo and cams!
  22. Interested to know if these guys would adjust the test pressure to suit the fuel rail pressure your actually running.. since this test was 40psi .. since the flow and pattern might chang at a higher pressure .. cost seems about normal though
  23. i ahd the head on my car cleaned when it was shaved ... didn't need to remove the valves ... just have to make sure you put enough oil back in the top of the head before you try to start it up again! but yeah just check it with a straight edge and save yourself a bit of money if its not required..
  24. had a look at Nengun and saw those ingnition booster from Ultra .. just cant imagine or see how these would wire into the std configuration .. unless they are used similar to the MSI style ignition where leads are required.. any ideas Nismoid???
