  1. haha i use 7 degrees for 2mm stainless so its in that area as for the filler rod, are you angling the torch like steel/stainless welding? if so get it more towards perpendicular this should help with the wire melting too early.
  2. bias valve i want to avoid for legal reasons, but can always get the factory one revalved to the bias we work out with the adjustable unit. but im almost 100% convinced the valve will be required with the alloy hats on the rear and the 355mm rotors fronts are ready to install, just have no time to get the car into the shop and start pulling shit apart.
  3. AP kit is nice, and should bolt onto the r33's also will see how it all goes anyway, too late to turn back and no one said they had done it and finished it when i began
  4. can we have some more details on the setups you ran? rotor sizes, pads you ran, rear also?
  5. there is a guy who just got a CNC mill a few months ago - posted in the fabrication section - he might be willing
  6. its not a race car, so every kg isnt critical. here is the rear setup just waiting for the spacers between the halves of the caliper to be machined then i can install them for a trial before i strip them down for coating. this will let me work out the master and bias setup. will be tested for bias ratios also, so will have actual numbers to show.
  7. Mine are 2 piece welded steel dogbones - no fancy milled alloy 12mm thick plate + welded spacers to set the required offset
  8. anyone know what the pedal radio is for R33's ?
  9. i think the STI rears are bolt on not the EVO are there commonly available 1 piece 355mm rotors out there?
  10. what kind of serious plans for the rear are you thinking Roy? once they are in place i'll start looking into the M/C sizes etc for feel and feedback - though i think the gtst brakes are fairly touchy so a longer pedal should allow a bit more control.
  11. is it always that clean Dave?
  12. Custom 2 piece rotors - not 100% sure at this stage if the they are comparable to some other 1 piece rotors already available
  13. well they arent really that difficult to make, more the time taken to work out the alignment that makes the one offs more expensive. i'll probably look into making the adapters once mine are finished off
  14. looks the same as the bursons one Neil
  15. evo brembo's over 355mm rotors These i coated in a thermal dispersant coating to improve heat dissipation off the rotors
  16. what about running a 2nd gate off the housing?
  17. hey Marty, Whats the rear housing mounted wastegate causing you think? thats alot of work to get it manifold mounted...... thought about talking to nytsky who runs the rear housing gate also?
  18. try unplugging this sensor (drivers sside of radiator - clipped to shroud) my car would simply idle high with this disconnected if unplugging it doesnt make a change then it wont be that
  19. sounds like cold start enrichment mapping is way off
  20. what spring is installed on the wastegate?
  21. shouldnt really matter what side of the TB that you run it from, that is how mine is setup though i run an EBC and use both ports on the wastegate
  22. yep - just removing the letters wont cause any structural damage
  23. have a look at - http://autospeed.com/cms/A_110776/article.html no need for kits just get the correct components - article above has the wire sizes for amp draw etc at the bottom
