  2. well thursday is a private practice day, then fri sat sun are practice qualifying and racing... im not racing unfortunately, helping a couple of mates!
  3. just having a little think about it,,,,, when i think of the chaser's the 1jz came from i think that the gearbox will be a huge problem fitting into the existing tunnel for the car! also gear stick placement will be a problem! have you seen how small the original g/box in these E30's are???? they are tiny so it may be an issue...... although the E30's use linkages external to the box so this may allow a bit more room for a larger box, that only being id the 1jz g/box is internal linkage like the rb25 boxes!
  4. hey people, heading up to queensland in 2 weeks to go to queensland raceway. just looking for places to stay whe we get up there and some tips for the track from people who are out there pretty often! also spending a wednesday night at surfers, just looking for places to go out and a cheap place to stay! all ifo would be mad, cheers, Chris
  5. im out, have to go up to queensland raceway to help a mate racing there... getting some track time on this track wont happen often!!
  6. yeah i reckong the 1jz would fit, exhaust on the right side etc! 50/50 is what you would want to keep if your thinking of doing track work! thats what helps these cars handle so well, perfectly balanced! upset that balance and the the characteristics (?) of the car chance completely!
  7. well the rb25 is only a little bigger than the rigi BMW engines.. only thing is the exhaust is on a different side, as with fuel lines..

  12. yeah he's saving up for a turbo for it atm, but with this little set back it may be a while! have you got any ideas where to get a lsd for the E30? was gonna get an M3 diff but it'll take our suppliers about 3 months to get it from germany so we cant really wait that long!
  13. hey people, i have 2 Autogage 5" monster tachos for sale.. these are made by Autometer.. have been used but in virtually new condition! Usable on 4,6 and 8 cylinder cars.   17. hmm just something else to mention... my mates beemer just tore the tail shaft in half! pretty nasty, looks like the diff blew and locked up, shredded the tail shaft.
  18. which part of the mount broke? i have seen 2 E30 323i brake the mount from the cross member on just standard power. you could get the 2.5L block from the 325e.. which are cheapish, then put the 323i head on it and rebuild.. still 2.5L and they do go hard!

  21. should be legal on a pre 93 car.. just say that you had it install before that...
  22. you could try dba 5000 series rotors! without moving the calipers out with good quality spacers you would have to run the standard size rotor!
