how much without the flywheel? oh and what did it cost for the rebuild? are replacement plates easy to get?

major player in a bumpy ride is the spring rate! especially if they have changed the springs and left standard the shocks. do you lose grip over bumps easy? if so might need new shocks, but if your in doubt get them checked at pedders etc or other suspension shop!

im with blind_elk .. upgraded anti roll bars (swaybars) will increase the tension rate of the springs only when going around corners! not expensive, and make a huge difference and are tunable (whiteline blade adjustables) .. without affecting straight line rates very much!

is that the clear one on the driver window etc? they may be able to repair it but they are usually clear! AFAIK they are perspex not plastic so they may not even be able to fix this, even if they did it would be clearly visible that its been done!

i've got a mate that has a 120Y rally car, but those dont really interest me.. 1600 are still expensive cause everyone wants them to do up with SR20 or CA18.. yeah it's just that they are solid rubber and do crack.. if they crack apart the tail shaft will go flying (mates had a big gash in the tunnel from it happening), can source these with steel reinforcement within the rubber for better strength! it's like a uni joint! might be a good idea if still using these to run a U support like race cars use to stop it dropping and digging into the ground!

Hey people just wondering if anyone has any info on the old Mazda 808 sedans? things like engine type and potential? suspension tunability? and possible problems that these thing might always have! just looking into a little project car and have seen these things go really well, so could be a fun car to do up in spare time.. for track/drift fun any and all info would be great!

my mate has the 2.5L in an E30 -- soon to go turbo, motor has just been rebuilt due to huge Cam wear! goes alright with just the 2.5L bottom end - 2.3L head and Lotus forged pistons! wierd combo but when the turbo goes on should be quick! only thing with these cars is lack of room down the car for exhausts.. 3inch would scrape out big time! only thing to watch that i know of with these things is the rubber mount from gear box to tail shaft!

no but i know one in penrith - not too far! will TIG weld any alloy but it can be expensive if there is alot to do!!!
