  1. got a price for a TPS for RB25DET series 1?
  2. anyone have ideas about whether this cooler will affect the oil pressure?
  3. actually it was pretty much dead even the whole time! SW20 had r540's big carbon wing, suspension (brand?), and enkei's. while the sprinter was running a CA18DET - on 7psi with street tyres, lowered king springs, plus 330mm brakes from a saloon car. mad run to watch.
  4. hey SW20-GT, was that you having the run with the red sprinter on saturday at EC?
  5. NRB, Roil increases lubrication. therefore your syncros wont be helped since each synchro relies on friction to work, slowing down your gearset is what the syncro's do so making them slippery isn't going to help a gearbox that crunches. RNS11Z, royal purple is from a totally separate company.
  6. nothing pretty at this stage still need to be ground up and made nice then painted! but i'll take some pics today and post em up! only took about 2 hours to make.
  7. me and a mate made some, still need some finishing though but are pretty good! totally fixed dont slide, but who needs that if setup right in the beginning. they are illegal anyway unless the fold forward! just used 0.8mm flat bar and welded it up! can post pics if you need ideas!
  8. prakesh, what car are you driving? the R33's have the jumping point in the engine bay! thus not going anywhere near your battery direct. the picture on top of the relay box on the drivers side displays how to hook the leads up! cant be bad if they show you how!!! had similar issue in my car a while back spent 2 days in an autoelectrician measuring load in amp on the battery wirth the car off, at some points it was almost 5 amps- which is huge. shouldn't be too much more than 0.5A. then disconnect one thing at a time and measure - stereo, alarm, even my turbo timer was drawing 1.3A when plugged in and not running! just a few ideas CT
  9. cheers for the info, at least i know that they are not essential but some recommend them! will be easier to setup without it when using the remote filter kit! got some photo's of the oil cooler, pretty big and needs some new fittings to be welded on but for $50 it's not a bad deal at all!
  10. Is o'ringing the block some thing you do with thicker head gaskets? say the 1.6mm metal gaskets? thinking of using that gasket to decompress the engine for higher boost.
  11. yeah with the second question - oil pressure - i was assuming that it would be full including the oil cooler and lines! still looking for info on how these thermostats work so this will obviously affect how the cooler is set up!
  12. cheers for the info steve, do they have a shop front in silverwater? also a couple more questions. Do those of of you that run oil collers disconnect them and drain the oil out with oil changes? Also has anyone noticed oil pressure drop after installing them? Does anyone recommend having a thermostat in the setup? thanks in advance!
  13. as an addition to what tastyratz has just posted.... is there a optimum oil temp needed for engines, specifically on rb25det's!
  14. Bringing up an old thread here, but when fitting a large oil cooler, do you need to increase the oil pressure to make it through this long extension of oil flow? will be at least an extra litre of oil going through the system too! post some pics of the cooler for you guys, got a real bargain on it too!
  15. there is a place in St Mary's that does this! called attspeed - dont have number anymore! takes him a while though! best thing to do is to take the cluster out of your car yourself, and take it to them. will cost you heaps less! just remember were your guages should be, so they can go back were they should be!
  16. slyline, didn't think this thread was still going. The colour is Blue Print - factory blue for the BA falcons. it's a metalic paint but the gold pearl looks like an added metalic colour since it was mixed into the clear not the blue! alotta work there but it was all worth it! thanks eberyone for the comments, makes it feel more worth it!
  17. did you consider the rb30 option? like from R.I.P.S etc alot cheaper than getting an rb26 and having to rebuild that to make sure.
  18. you think you were half asleep heaps funny morning i'd just spent 1.5 hrs stuck in the lift at work!! good to finally catch up, felt sorry for you stuck in that traffic, it's never nice along that road!
  19. I'll be at EC on 1-2may, will come by and have a geezer at the car, looked good the other weekend, didn't think it was you guys though! Im helping out with a formula ford this year so i gues i'll be seeing you guys race a bit this year! good luck with it Duncan!
  20. might be easier to get bridgstone racing tyres, can get em for around $250 from racing supplies in emu plains near penrith! depending on size of course! street legal tyres, same as the ones used on saloon cars and commodore cup cars for track racing!
  21. i finish at 8 dude, i get out there about 5-10 past, come down! work sat to tues nights!
  22. so your after the steel tube line from the master cylinder? in syd, usually the better is www.justjap.com - give darren a call for quote etc
  23. Hey, man saw your car on saturday morning -- nice ! did i see you the other day on boundry road?
  24. if the car was written off, doesn't a full blueslip check enable it to be re-registered?
  25. Yeah, i wouldn't mind knowing which series it runs in either, so we can follow the performance and results of that car!
