  1. the finals for the level 2 were yesterday, had a mate in it, got 4th. very close this year in that level, he was 4 10ths behind first. which is good considering the winner somehow got a 1.14.8 in the mg! heard the level 1 finals came down to 1000ths of a second, the winner being an ex formula ford driver, second being a v8 supercar endurance racer!

  3. Wreckedhead, where did you get the gears from, were they new gears or only modified the existing cogs?
  4. ive never heard of a different way to drive a 4wd! only difference is that the clutch needs to be stronger to deal with more force resisting on the 4 wheels instead of 2.
  5. the rear window looks alot like the Sera rear hatch on that second picture! I really dont mind the first one at all, lights could be smaller but thats it!
  6. I reckon that looks good, simple design to match the lokos of the r32!! if i had one i consider getting it!
  7. same issue as blx, but with fuel and oil pressure! tip, you might wanna leave the light that does the odometer, cant see it with the dash lit up!
  8. have you got adjustable caster rods? or adjustable bushes? if standard you will have a little trouble!
  9. do they run the metal strut tops? if so it could be the ball joints!
  10. dude, unless you get a really good painter the matching will be al off if you do little bits here and there! not saying it cant be done, but it's hard to do! up to you, but really depends on the paint condition now. on the second question, if you do a full respray it depends on what extent you take it but it wont be cheaper because it's a standard colour, only difference is the quality paint you use!! personally i would do a custom/different colour again any day, just keep it simple and neat and you cant go wrong! im biased though

JT, on top of the arial mount (side of car) there are 2 grooves opposite each other, you need to use these to unscrew the arial top, once undone go inside the boot and there and 3-4 bolts undo those and unplug the wiring and twist it out, not too hard, but im trying to remember from about 7-8 months ago

DJ984, i didn't do the actual spray itself, i only did the prep at home then hired a booth and got a guy to spray it for me! took 4 months total to get it done, but i could have done it quicker, was playing around with a few things! i couldn't drive the car at the time anyway so it was the perfect time to do it! can save alot of cash this way, but it takes a lot of effort. you wont wanna sand anything once your done Skyline_boy, could have been me in penrith, the stripes give my car away abit! ldont live too far from penrith! wouldn't have been lately though! havent been there for A while.
  13. dont think so kryptr, i think there has been cars released from factory with black engine bays! most people do them because they change colour, my car was black so i didn't mind having a black engine bay!

  15. yeah i thought of the hoses, but with the battery in the boot i dont think it was related will check it out, had problems awhile back, and after that it always idled real high - almost 1600rpm then occaisonally at 1200rpm, now it sits around 600rpm as posted! is the idle electronic or is it that bolt that stops the throttle moving back too far?
  16. i've had the same idea, i have a cenet double din with existing stacker, wouldn't mind adding a MP3 stacker into that! if you find one, post approx cost and location! cheers
  17. they arent cheap, got one for $300, then found out mine aint bad. still got it at home. pain in the ass to replace, had to remove the sway bar and unbolt and drop out! be ok if you've got a hoist though

  19. i've got a similar problem now, but only since i had the battery disconnected for 2 days! mine will rev down to 600rpm sit there for about 2 seconds then try to stall, have to keep the revs up. shouldn''t be aac or oxy sens or afm, but i'll clean those and report back. but any ideas people? where is the easiest way to increase idle rpm?

Guilty, blue slip is for cars that have not yet been registered, or have been out of rega for more than 3 months to make sure that they are ok to be registered engineering wise/adr approved! pink slips are the ones you get every year, less thorough for sure than blue slip! im sure there are more specific differences, i just dont know em Benm, hope you didn't get done the way to the nats, i got done on the way to golbourne! got canaried big time, then again the car is in bits while mods are being done! but the most stupid thing that these guys was DEFECT ME FOR MY BATTERY IN ITS STANDARD POSITION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! now i have to relocate it and put it in a marine battery box, then run the ventilation out of the car!!! not real happy about this, also got done for the T wing, which i was told was ok since it doesn't go outside the sides of the car! Ridiculous effort on behalf of the police/rta , since they get me for things that are standard eg battery but fail to get me for the normal BOV, intercooler, pod (had UAS partition), tacho on a pillar etc etc -> just in case no have to get this done before i go overseas this friday - like i dont have enough to do end rant

  23. i'll be using plastic primer, just sanded my panel as there was some added holes in there! i'm moving my lighter, mirror controls, hazard button and demisters around to other locations! and putting guages in their locations, trying to limit defects!
  24. ran elf lms in a HQ race car, spent 3 hours on a dyno and only made 3kw more than normal av gas of the same RON rating! definately wasn't worht the time or money, but that's for a carbied car. wouldn't mind seeing the difference in a forced induction car!
