Yeah my mates car got caught in that storm too, out in BOX HILL. Nasty work, smashed about 7-8 windows, big damage to the roof as well and his new XR6 turbo!! i managed to put my car under a car port in penrith but that was like pea size hail!! Feel For ya

My mate had this done to his CA18DET powered car, before this happened i would pull away in top end quite a bit! Now though they are even up top, with no changes to management or anything, either car!

um yeah, your right obviously wasn't thinking right at the time!! it was late.. at least we ended up answering the second statement!

so who was charged in the end? insurance companies aren't the nicest in this instance. i had an accident 2 years ago, lady pulled out of a side street infront of me, obviously it ended with me T bonig her! BUT never the less she was charged with neg driving etc, however i found out 3 days later that i had actually been black listed as i had claimed twice previously and unfortunatley i was with the same insurance company as her, so they decided not to pay me.. so goodbuy $15K, spoke to a soliciter and he said that the must have witnesses to counter act what was said to police!! just telling you this so you can cover yourself and not only reley on the police statement as insurance companies don't take that as gospel in claims!!! wish you still worked for them RON-15H

Do you know what would need to be upgraded to run higher wattage high beams lights? also i haven't seen brighter lights in higher wattage in normal shops! Ryan D didn't seem to have any issues, he's saying that he was running 90W in his car! interested to see what comes of this though! also is there any lights about say 70W or so, something brighter, but not enough to blind oncoming traffic!!

Oh OK, my turbo timer isn't setup to turn off when the hand brake is dropped!! Didn't think of that, also there are the ones with the gear select option aswell!!

I doubt you'll have any issues about getting used to the car running after you stop! if it has a turbo timer then there will be no hassles as you wont be able to forget cause the timer will always work when you turn the car off!! SO, in saying that, if you have a turbo timer, then if you do manage to stall it after a high rpm run then the turbo timer will keep it going anyway, therefore no issue!!! but even if you did stall it without a TT as long as it is restarted then given time to cool down, there "shouldn't" be any issues with the seals in the turbo!! dont fret man, just buy it and enjoy

In the R33, they are 4 headlight: 2 on low beam, other 2 on high beam! low beam lights are definately only single element lights, so would assume the same with high beam as only one on at a time eg 2 outside lights on on low beam, 2 insides lights only on high beam!! therefore the globes must be of different output wattage! ps did you get my email Rezz?

so they only sell the one globe for 4 headlight cars? what does the plug for the lights look like? are they normal single blade fitting? or tri blade?

Just wondering about cars like the R33 which have a separate globe for the high beam! is there a straight 90w option for these as they would have to be different ratings as the low beam lights turn off when they come on! therefore for our cars the low and high beam are not the same globes! "Craved, high beam globes are the same low beam globes. If uprated globes for high beam aren't enough for country driving, look at dedicated driving lights. " hehe, dont really think driving lights would suit the skyline any suggestions?

actually looking for a project car of about description!! doesn't ahve to be very perfect, but minimal rust would be great!! if anyone has one or happens to see one for sale could you post here, any state on east coast OK, dont wanna have to go too far!!! thanks in advance!! Chris

it seems to have fixed itself after the cruise, the engine got a good workout!!! only got about 300km from that tank but filled up on the way home and it lasted 448km... see what happens next fill, then go onto oil change that is due soon, then the gaps after that!!!! bit of a spin out will keep posted

i agree with you rev210, no chance of less "acceleration"! however i did say momentum, thus in a high gear in lower revs up a hill the lighter flywheel will drop revs quicker! Especially in a full/heavy car!!! thats all i was saying!

anyone seen whiter/brighter HIGH beam globes for sale? mine are not bright enough for out here in the bush got whiter globes in the low beam and really tell the difference when switching from high to low beam!!!

i think they need to work on the whole realistic issue, other than that they were good fun! for a little while!!
