    Re-spray

well i did this myself, got a mate to spray it, prepped myself though!!! check out these threads results: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...&threadid=24498 info on prep: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...&threadid=20771
  2. mines only got 4 belts, not sure where to check for the registration of seats!!
  3. noticed some extra fuel usage since using the new mobil 1 super synth! also alot more noise form the engine on a cold start, only paid $60 at Big W! will go back to normal mobil 1 (if still exists) and see if it aleiviates the fuel issues! there was an article in a mag that tested the power levels on a dyno with different oils, royal purple was the best, mobil 1 was second!! have noticed the difference when i started using mobil 1 much better performance than others, but just gotta see with your engine i guess!!!
  4. Zoix, yeah the covers come with the kit!!!
  5. yeah true, that is a fair bit of room, but i'm running 6X9's and have a much bigger battery than that!!! so needed to lift it up alot, i'll get pics today and post em here, it still needs some work, but it's getting there!! also made one of these for a lancer too worked ok too!!! as with the parcel tray fooey, wasn't too hard for me, just bent it up un the middle after taking the back seats out, just slides out!!
  6. They are very similar, kevlar is also a fibre material that the mix with carbon fibre to make what you use, carbon kevlar matting! which alot more expensive that straight carbon fibre, and alot stronger!! hence the yellow and black of the material where as caron is straight black!! can i ask how much you pay per metre for what you use?
  7. yeah i used to get atleast 450Km out of it, but now about 350 - 380 Km's even with highway driving, so i'll check it out!! noticed alot more noise in the engine since the super synth mobil 1 went in, so see how this affects the sitution before regapping, as fuel consumption was (i think) ok before the oil change!!
  8. Carbon Kevlar-- expensive!! but good stuff did you use kevlar over carbon to save the amount of layers, hence increase volume? just curious cause stuff like this interests me, wish i thought of it before i started my boot install
  9. should in the passenger kick panel infront of the door! Reset of ECU is usually done by disconnectingthe -ve and draining power with the brakes a few times!!
  10. heads up for pics [email protected] COD to sydney, buyer pays postage?
  11. i built a new parcel tray with 16mm MDF with an 2nd oval section around the 6X9, clears the bat no worries, plus ive started smoothing it off with fibreglass then cover with vinyl/leather when it's done!!! just copy out the parcel tray onto the mdf and cut it out, putting angles around the edges to clear the window and seat!! might take some photos later today and show you!
  12. Fhrx, nice use of carbon fibre!!! was that built straight onto the body of the car with the resin or did you put some plastic/material behind it so it can be removed?
  13. had a situation possibly similar!! but mine started for about 2 seconds then got that clicking and it stalled!! Turned out it was the points on the ECU and relays in the boot of my R33, reason was there was a build up on them after having the car not moving/started for 4 months!!! cleaned up the points and away she went, although had stalling issue for a while after that but all fixed now (give it time) hope this helps!
  14. i had a quote from justcar 2 years ago, i was 19 and had a few claims under the belt!! $7600 -- was my quote, OUCh -- skipped that
  15. nice, havent seen those kits, but 0 guage is what i had to replace the wire in my 33 from the batery!! hard to find plus esxpensive to get connectors but if it is a kit it's all good!!!
  16. Thant would be pretty expensive the use braided lines! what guage wire are you using?
  17. so how many people made it down?
  18. thanks Jetdat, i'll try the other oil first (less work) then make sure they are 0.8mm!! cheers
  19. ive noticed since installing new plugs, NGK iridium's and changed oil to the new mobile 1 - super synth and ive actually lost 50-70Km's per tank!!! not sure what going on here! will the wrong gap affect fuel consumption? will try normal mobile 1 next and see if i get it back!
  20. that silver box is the hicas control unit, runs the 4WS!!
  21. well according to the TEIN website, the spring rates are 9/504 front and 8/448 rear!! witch is pretty hard!! thats what i have on mine and i know what you mean about "not be able to get traction off the line", only got bad since i put the adj swaybars on, but softened up the back to 10 clicks (aparrently 1 less than stock) and it seems alot better!! BUT still bad, the only way is to drop it back until you come to a compromise!! will still be stiff but able to bog down alot more! just remember that if it's low, makesure you adjust the ride height cause it will drop down ive noticed! this is the only way to do it without spending money on new springs!! if you have adj sway bars, loosen them up too!
  22. makes good sense in getting softer spring rates at the back if you suffer from bad oversteer, if its not too bad then equal all round will suffice!! but answer warpspeed's question and you'll get a better answer
  23. People With No Sense of Humour ------ arent these all naughts anyway so a thread with ones and naughts would win in my opinion :bahaha:
  24. anyone replaced these lines with silicon type lines? is there a special sort? any info on where/how much would be great!! just noticed the ouside of mine developing small cracks!! Cheers
