  6. yeah this stuff is really good, use it on an HQ race car not on my skyline!! i have HPC coated dump so dont really need it to reduce bonnet temps!! but if you have stock dump and pod with no CAI then i would definately put in on!!!
  7. colour would be good Rb20 i dont have the cash now but someone might!!
  8. Interesting read this thread, seems to be thought thatwhen defected only envirtronmental isue carry fines, which i have to ask about!! i have received 9 defects and 9 fines!! plus the added cost of getting a pink slip to remove the defect from rta records!! each fine was $74 and they included no front number plate, BOV, POD, stacker under seat, too low etc oh and yes they do check the height of your car! i had the cop bring out a broom like thing that he showed me was 95mm and tried to move it around under my car, hit a couple of time so i got the defect!! Oh and yeah guages were also a defect i got too! So if what was said earlier was true, then i should have only got fines for BOV and POD nothing else???????? maybe this is just another grey area that is up to cop discretion!! only one i didn't get a fine for was one sent to me via the EPA to get exhaust noise tested, now this was put through by a cop when he pulled me over, and it checked out ok when i took it in, only by 1 Db though any comments ? oh and neons can look good
  9. yeah the candy colours are good, like the gold MR2 in high octane 2!
  10. everywhere any auto shop has it of some brand!! repco, auto-one etc
  11. yeah the purple would look great with blue over the top (pearl)
  12. could cut it back and run a pearl over the top!!
  13. at least ive got the bit to hold the belt out from the shoulder, might look into it though!
  14. yeah had to get the paint from holden because they are the PPG retailers!! from what i've been told most PPG reps actually work from holden dealers ships!!
  15. park next to a new falcon in that colour, see how close they are!! can give the paint code for that no worries!! yeah black is a little hassly to paint over ! but the colours do look very close, bit of a shame can really see the gold pearl on the car and the stripes very well!!
  16. very nice, how does the cefiro go? not much differnce between the blue print and the bayside blue!! you got the paint code for it, see if that are close or match even!
  17. it's just a shame that my lights are beyond repair .. sigh
  18. Cause it looks damn sexy
  19. Dont forget that my respray was so cheap because the prep was done by me and mates! the cost was only for paint, booth, and sprayer!! true, but it's VERY hard to get perfect! even a pro, i've seen some pro resprays on high profile cars (not full show cars) and they have the same issues as some one who does it themselves! i had not done it before, turned out alot better than it started ( body wise) but it takes time. would get it done alot quicker to get someone to do it for you!! it's your choice, save a couple hundred bucks and do it yourself(which i might add feels good when its done), or get someone you can trust to give you what you want for extra money!!
  20. AZN --> did you end up getting the boot fixed up? just notice that you want to put another wing on, what type of wing you thinking of using??
  21. benm, mate it really depends on the what it is prep'd with now! Most will come out with a standard gelcoat covering (white/light grey) this still needs to be primed/filled to remove and pin holes in that surface! a fair bit of rubbing --- the front bar on my car took a day to get sanded right, and that had been sprayed before!!! so a bit of work involved and thats were the money goes!!! If your painting in 2K ( i hope you are) then you'll need a 2K primer to do it with best results, leave to dry for near a week, then wet sand your day away!! are you interested in doing the prep yourself? got the guns and stuff for the prime etc if you need a hand! you got an air compressor at home? costs $50 a litre for 2K primer which would be enough, given current condition good, but $30- $50 for hardener which isn't used much, plus thinners! so if you have time you could get the prep done for about $120 if your willing to spend the time on it, sanding is no fun! then just pay a painter to spray it and buy the paint your self!! probably save you a couple hundred bucks!!
  22. have used the plastic cleaner from justjap, very good stuff!
  23. R31Heaven, why dont you just borrow one to test it with, saves you paying for another one if the results are the same!! As with the Bleeders, i have the GFB bleed valve and have only had one problem! no spikes or anything, just once after a track day, somehow it set itself up to 16psi, and only took me one look at the boost guage to see why the car was jerking and spluttering like crazy on full boost! the stock guage didn't show me anything different to normal.. this may be since the boost guages are T pieced, but that shouldn't affect a vacuum guage!!
  24. OR try double checking with a multimeter on the battery, incase the guage is faulty... might save you money!!
