  1. i'll have to find somewhere to get it in western sydney!!! just for peace of mind for track days, this is when it normally happens sometimes on the private tracks everyone has too got a price roughly?
  2. you need to take the seats out, the is 2 bolts betwwen the seats towards the sides of the car, then slide out the parcel tray (flimsy 4mm stuff, then unscrew the stock speakers!! should be able to put 6" straight back in no worries!!! simple job -- take a while though!!!! or get some bass with 6X9's on custom MDF parcel tray sounds pretty good with it done like this!!!!
  3. i've done this in my car!! ah 6" in the back and were fine!!! i'l look at wiring when i get home! but i'm with booster, out of phase sounds like your problem!! or that one connection is not making full contact!! will post with the colours etc later!!

  5. So was it for noise or for gas pollution? i got done by some coppers for too loud! took it to an exhaust shop, gave em $5 and they tested it-- 93 Db close enough then send them the form --- thats if they didn't send you to the pits for it!!!
  6. I dont think that there is anything stopping you from getting programmable management engineered! My mate had his sprinter engineered running a CA18DET with microtech computer!! just had to have emissions test etc before it would be passed!! Even with an engineers cert nsw police and rta reserve the right to have it tested again at anystage!!
  7. Wy dont you make one???? go to a fibreglass supplier get 10cm of roll carbon fibre, and some resin and make it up, 3 layers should be enough!! look sweet too, just need a flat surface and a something to roll it out with!! my 2c
  8. I had tannabe's install before the tein's, and they were much rougher than the teins!! I have had the intercooler welded up twice as the bumps actually snapped the brackets!! Also cost me a new thermo fan after hiiting a bump and punching a blade through the shroud and out the grill!!! leaving me with a nasty shudder with the air con on!!!
  9. Check out www.uniqueautosports.com, i got the brass button 5 puck, 1600-1700kg pressure plate and ultra lightened flywheel, this is nitrided for strength! install for $1800, expensive but wont slip, give the left leg a good workout too

Can you get in there and find the sound? what about boost levels when it is cold, do they register lower? i have a little theory: perhaps your inlet gasket/plenum is loose, and needs the heating up process to tighten the gap, it alloy so shouldn't expand much, but it may be enough!!! anyone else got theories?

  14. NVCS? it's late and i cant figure it out! Yeah, only thing is with the PFC i'm getting, $1200 is more viable than over $4000 for the turbo. just looking at options
  15. not sure about them, they are the small $1 ones aren't they, bit hard to replace!!! how hard is your suspension? thats what started my issues!!! i'm thinking of setting up an extra eathing point for the light clusters to try and resolve my issue!! see how that goes!

  20. thanks for the site, but the main concern is whether they are worth the upgrade on a std turbo, or whether it would be a useless upgrade only running at 12-14psi!!! will still ask them though
  21. I had a similar issue, but mine was combined effort from the BOV and a faulty battery!!! The battery cable was loose in the bracket and wouldn't charge all the way!! runs OK now though after setting plumb back onto the hybrid BOV and fixing the battery cable!
  22. Well if the brass button is not solid centre, then it will have the most grip, down side is that it wont last as long as a solid ring organic clutch--- have to choose what you want from it!!
  23. Pretty sure infront of the Tacho is ok to mount these, but cannot be infront of the speedo, thats it!! mate had his sprinter engineered with guages infront of tacho!!
  24. Just looking around at power upgrades, and was wondering if anyone has any ideas on these particular style cams gears! Will these cams being upgraded on RB25DET with boost controller, PFC, FMIC, 3.5 " zorst, make any considerable increase with standard turbo? or are they designed to spool bigger turbos up quicker!! Any info would be great, read the thread on GTR cams in RB25, but these aren't as lumpy as the tomei items!! turbo upgrade will come in time, but ot yet so looking for cheaper things for now!! I made a new parcel tray for my R33, just took out the current one, traced it onto 18mm MDF, cut this out and shaped the edges to fit in, then ran another layer around the speakers only! so efectively 36mm spacers! I have then fibreglassed over the 2nd spacer to created smooth transition!! looks ok just have to put a material over it!! hint with tweeters, just keep them close the woofer, haven't installed my splits in the front yet, but in my lancer had them sitting in the tray/pocket in the door, so they were hidden but still faced up for good sound! PLUS i didn't have to put a hole in the trim!!
