  1. i didnt flow test it, but putting an east-west motor in a RWD car always causes issues with plenums facing into the firewalls so this was to resolve that situation, didnt really want to start mucking around with the factory cast plenum as it wouldnt have been too simple to cut and swap ends on it.

please dont use a bottle jack pipe bender on a roll cage. need to use a bender with proper dies that follow the bend - like what the dude from engineered to slide also, what sized tungsten are you using? looks like a 2.4? if you want a finer weld then get the collet etc for a 1.6 tungsten
  3. I did Sean's and am doing this one for Sloane also - i'll have a look and see if i have a spare pipe at my shop, organise an exchange system to make it easier if you like

i didnt get the foot pedal, dont really need it as mine came with the adjuster on the torch itself. obviously can only use it on 4T setting though which i never really used much before this machine

Uni-MIG AC/DC200 for $1400 from Hare and forbes is doing me well. frequency and pulse adjustments, so good value
  7. found some old pics of a plenum i made for my girlfriends brother 4G63 - doesnt compare to Ariels/CPC/Isleep 's plenums but good enough for the car its going in.
  8. Cheers Corey, at that stage they were still literally hot lol thanks for the approval Matt lol - just to find the time/space for that combo - shame i have no Mig gas, really need to make up a engine stand for the 1uz little something i've tinkered with today Just got to get myself a new wire wheel to clean it up then tack it together.
  9. good thing i didnt get a chance to cut that flange for you lol
  10. CRAVED is getting the 26/30 i have another 33 and 2 sprinters - and the 1uz already - so its gotta go into something
  11. snuck the gearbox adapter in this afternoon. undersized the holes by alot as with these thicknesses the plasma tends to oval small holes. so i'll need to drill them out ready for tapping and the dowels.
  12. JNT have the straight reducers in alloy - then get the 90 bend you need for the turbo - think JNT have the reducers setup with straights either end too.
  13. so cut yes? ok lol you coming up to texi?
  14. so you're gonna do what now?
  15. Whats the licences worth $$ wise?
  16. Read the rules, then you wont get insulted when people pull you up on it. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/76463-rules-for-users-of-the-sau-classifieds-please-read-before-use/
  17. think they are more offset than the 1uz one - details on their forum http://www.v-eight.com/tech_forum/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=1458
  18. its actually 4 pieces - but you can skip the locating ring that goes in the very centre to make a lip that aligns the box and adapter together and just rely on dowels around the bolts
  19. yeah exactly hardest part is going to be welding the pieces together without the 12mm plate warping - might have to bolt it up to the bell housing and weld it bolted up and low heat as its under compression so doesnt have to be a strong weld.
  20. i'll definitely show it once its done, as for clutch i can just get SBC to make one for me to suit
  21. i bought the 1uz one yesterday - turns out its 3 pieces for the 1uz and they recommend steel - so i'll be cutting it out next week lucky we have some 12mm plate lying around
  22. redrawn, will cut it out on monday for ya
  23. i'll drop it to 78mm then? and adjust the rest to match your specs and yeah 6 speed for the price and getting the hydrolic clutch makes it easier to use the auto bell housing
  24. one miiiiiilllllion dollars mwahahahhahaha haha i dont know mate, 6mm plate be fine as its a dump pipe flange? and its a 10mm hole atm
