  1. im guessing this colour? VHT only come in red and black http://www.vhtpaint.com/wrinkleplus.html Depending on interest i can get in some possible matches from my suppliers
  2. so far - disassembled ready for prep Brad - Turns out the 240K badge is plastic
  3. you could try to replicate the stock pipe, or the Y adapter from the hard pipe kits. really depends on the placement of the connector, ir over the turbos like stock, or further down the pipes towards the intercooler?
  4. hm dont think i want a sun roof in the line, unless it comes as a package for a good price- thinking of putting one in my work ute though so hence the curiosity. Zebra is right about the hicas, though from memory you cant just remove it without hicas as the speed link runs through it for the power steering
  5. got the body wiring loom by anychance?
  6. time to get the dry ice out ryan - looks good so far can you take pics of the sunroof area? curious to see what supportis in that area
  7. only problem is that oven cleaner is caustic and shouldnt be used on aluminium. if you can be sure you can clean it sufficiently it wont harm it for small periods - works great for cleaning off burn oil from under cam covers though
  8. The Metalist - 0431 867 461 he's in Borec Rd, Penrith
  9. usually easier to get a non hicas PS pump, failing that there is a walkthrough for the R32 to remove hicas and replumb the lines etc
  10. haha i do now - too busy staring at the struts
  11. Love it Ali, if you have any of the process shots or details would be a good DIY/fab thread
  12. if you are worried about legalities - dont cut the reinforcements yes you can use washers to space the bonnet up at the rear- but remember to get longer M6 bolts to match the spacers cannot comment on the engine mounts option, it is possible to use others/mod yours but it may not be viable depending on crossmember clearance, ground clearance and drive train alignment - do some more google searching there is sure to be a few guides
  13. real nice job he's doing there only suggestion i can make is to take more paint off around the joins before welding, dont want any weaknesses introducted through impurities in the weld that and the normal tack move tack move process for panel welding. hope it all works out clean
  14. dude, thats exactly what i needed - cheers the resins used in some PC/ABS blends seems to have a melt point of 260 degrees - suggests that coating them should not melt them at a lower cure temp of 180 degrees. forgot to get the centre cap from the 33 gtst rims i have, if the makeup of those is the same then a test on those will let me know if they will survive. if a photo can be taken of the back of it to display the re-inforcement setup of the caps, this will give a good impression of the likelyhood of shape change at these temps.
  15. hmm thought i'd post up my bad iphone pics of your covers David
  16. anyone got pics of the back of a 34 centre cap ? might have the material type cast into the back of it - ABS or a 5 inside the recycle symbol etc
  17. http://www.justjap.com/store/home.php?cat=337 different listings from 32 to 33 - most likely it wont fit - maybe call and ask JJ if the HKB 33 one will work on a 32 - if so it might work for you.. there are just some things you might need to try for yourself
  18. 99% sure all jz based supra's are MAP sensored - including the older 1jz-gte's from the early twin turbos so all you could have done is ingest some additional grit from the air into the motor causing some additional wear of the internals. unless your ingested some large bits it should be negligable damage caused - if you are worried, best option would be a compression and leak down test to check on the motors health.
  19. quick shot of my blue point with some reference lol still to make it to the engine cross member from the front of a kitted 32 i needed to use a 2 inch thick bit of wood
  20. some plastics can be coated, others cant . IE - ford falcon plastic tappet cover covers = yes - ls1 inlet manifolds = yes r34 plastic front cam gear covers warp in the heat i should try it on the 33 gtst rim centres i have - but its a big risk on 34 GTR centres
  21. possibly - but you might need to make a few changes to things to fit it same goes with 32 GTST with 32 GTR wheel, need to spin the column 180 degrees at the rack to look right
  22. nice car Ben - might have to hassle you for a visit one day.
  23. from the Tutorial area http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...ml&hl=arial
  24. i used an aftermarket internal arial from strathfield car radio - it connects to your rear demister wiring to use that as an arial granted its not as good as the stock arial, but works well enough for those times that i use the radio at all.
  25. i'll take em if you will ship em pm sent
