  1. did you do the pump replacement, or have a shop do it? sounds from your description that the car didnt have a thermostat before and now it does, the car should sit just under half at all times, regardless of outside temp.
  2. not white !! haha search around your area for powdercoaters, see what suppliers they use. the Dulux colour range is pretty small, some might use rohm and haas which have a much more comprehensive range of colours. but atleast dulux will send you as a consumer a colour swatch book from their website if you want to check out whats available. a nice black chrome would be good like below
  3. look like the ones used on the HPi 4door 32, dont have any of those mags around me to go back and get a name
  4. they are sleeved, not sure why nissan did that. if you can get a fitting turned out of alloy, just get it welded on. - might not even need turning, measure it and see if you can weld on some std tube. 38mm is probably what it is
  5. they look good! and you got a whopper deal! costs me $140 just to blast rims, never mind coat them too. did some last week for shits and giggles, also for rego tyres not a bad turnout for stock R33 rims
  6. yep you can do all of the things asked, a rim repairer would be best to get them dis-assembled, then take the centres to a paint shop or a powdercoater to blast and coat, then back to the rim shop for re-assembly
  7. steering rack in good condition? pm with a price please mate. cheers
  8. child restraint points would be better than the angle given by the seat belt buckle mounts. if you car has child restraint points of course, you might have got lucky.

    Welding 101

better to re-use this thread than make new ones, this SS ARC welding is with stainless rods? no point welding SS with mild steel
  10. you dont need Argon to weld stainless with a mig - just get some wire and go for it.
  11. Apexi RSM - Rev Speed Meter - no modifications available with that, but you might have got lucky and got one with a G-sensor installed. think the RSM can turn off the 180 limit though. Boost controller - try to instruction manual here http://www.blitz-performance.com/includes/...c%20S&R.pdf
  12. DCIEVE - looks good mate (one pic didnt work for me though) Anthony, Satin black with the black fittings looks neat.
  13. does your car have a dimmer switch ? if so, get behind it and check teh wiring, if it looks intact try to bypass the dimmer, or check for power on each side of it. havent found any body wiring diagrams for 33's yet have you checked the fuse?
  14. heres a good thread, http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Fa...p;hl=clutch+fan i would be looking at an air pocket as well, re-bleed your coolant system - there are how too's in lots of threads.
  15. how long was the radiator dry for? once the internals dry out it can amplify any blockages you may have had before hand. thermostat installed correctly? (dont know what you did to not have the car running ) give some background on what you just completed
  16. this might help then 1) no it wont sag with a twin hinge setup 2) yes you are dreaming for $3K price tag, unless you can fabricate yourself and also paint prep yourself
  17. im keen to look would love some details on teh fabrication side of it if you can provide it.
  18. stock thermostat should be 89C convert that to degree's F if you have an american guage.
  19. http://www.paintwithpearl.com/ basically like most pearls, it is a dry flake that is mixed with a base clear. this is then sprayed over the base colour of your choice. just like exXU1 said the difference in teh styles is explained, but in a basic form, it is a differing of the size of the metallic pieces to change the effect the paint gives. my pics above are the flake, so large pieces are easily identified, where as a shimmer pearl is small pieces so it comes out as a colour change rather than flakey
  20. well lambo doors were once unique, im not sure it will work, but i always associate suicide doors with early model hotrods and resto's where they were actually used from factory. definately alot of work on the B pillar to allow for the hinge to slide back inside the body of the car, engineers cert will be a must.
  21. hehehehe Dezz - its suicide doors not lambo
  22. never seen it, but shouldnt be too bad. you keeping the stock latch system? or a new bear claw mechanism? what handle system you going to use? as for the hinge, that will take the most work, custom hinge required to push teh door skin outside of the body as the is no recess for it to fold into. definately do-able
  23. do a search for brembo gold, someone here has posted up a paint code for a honda colour that apparantly matches
  24. B is your BOV plumback hose oil is normal on these turbo cars , if its a relatively small amount.
  25. find the clicking, more than likely a motor that controls a flap . one of my cars has it, but that flat doesnt change anything. some motors you can get to without pulling the dash, so you might get lucky.
