  1. i run similar to Michael - inline filter on turbo oil feed line - $150 isnt too bad, but these things are cleanable and still small. read of too many of these bearing issues wo ran teh filter.
  2. yeah it is
  3. i can help if you are happy with powdercoating instead of paint. Gloss black? satin black ? wrinkle black? would start about $200 for those listed parts without having specifics.
  4. haha not quite as flashiny as the oringal pic in teh first post, but it is much neater.. damn nissan and non colour coded engine bays haha, but in somthing that is colour coded it would stand out more.
  5. Corey - mate i just went to the local Bolt shop asked for the details i posted above.
  6. yeah its stop leak, not sure how it acts to stop them. no adverse affects from my end yet someone mentioned $400 for a rebuild of the rack in another thread.
  7. reduce your caster to close that gap (if you have aftermarket caster rods they dont look finished in that picture, there is no clearcoat im guessing on those guards, not a bad job mate, i appreciate the effort it takes.
  8. or just get a T piece and T it off the stock sensor - bolts into the standard oil cooler unit
  9. i wouldnt use an air vent cup holder in a 32 - those centre vents are always breaking as they are, putting weight on them is tempting failure. better off trying to get a DIN socket one if you can
  10. ATF works, but there are power steering specifics available with stop leak within them, i have been using it recently and works to reduce the leaks well, after 1.5 bottles, its in a bluish grey bottle. $6 for those small bottles. remember to bleed after the refill by going lock to lock 6 to 10 times after filling it up.
  11. here some quick snaps one day i'll clean the engine bay lol
  12. turns out they were 12G cup washers, with 6mmx1mm allen key tapered bolts - stainless i got 50 of each for $28 i have a feeling the ones in the original post were alloy and annodised plus more angled sides than what i got, i'll get some pics later as i just finished changing them over.
  13. ouch, didnt think it would be that much, hows the steering feel now?
  14. so your saying that a BOV that releases the pressure inside the the inlet piping on gear change isnt working correctly? since thats exactly what they are designed to do im not sure where the issue is, there should be lag from a system running a BOV as the turbo re-pressurises the piping.
  15. car wont start with less than 12.6 V so it can crank over, but not start - if its cranking and no dash lights - its definately the battery voltage issue just jump start it
  16. any screws you can get to without removing the cam covers and using a 10mm allen key fitting next to the cams after getting the motor to TDC - hasnt got anythign to do with the head gasket. sounds like you just tightened the cam covers down.
  17. sounds like a headgasket went on you .... so was that the cause of the over heating or a result? hard to tell. eitherway head needs to come off, you might as well clean the readiator and replace the thermostat while you there.
  18. bunnings has resin and hardener so do most hardware stores - they also sell those fibreglass kits.
  19. if i had time i would make it for you Neil, i cant say when i'll have enough time to do it - so try these guys http://ccubed.com.au/ they are out near Penrith.
  20. screen mouldings are best just removed then replaced, i used BA falcon generic seal on mine. cost alot to remove and refit the screen, i paid like $180 or so just for removal
  21. what size sheets you after Neil ?
  22. well if its leaking powersteering fluid, then you have a bigger issue than just the boot. seals in the rack are probably worn, i have the same issue but havent had time to fix it up. leak has reduced after going through about 2 bottles of power steering fluid that has a leak stopper in it. its not gone, but its a huge amount better.
  23. i still shooting samples myself of different combinations of colours, if i can drop in one day Richard and test em against them that would be good - or just take some nice pics of them close up i dont think that INCA pearl mathces very well, not gold enough
