its a nice flashy light - but STOICH on those are about 11:1
it wont show lean unless there is a huge drop in fuel supply - since 11:1 on most turbo cars will already be in trouble.
90 deg isnt hot though - system is under pressure which raises the boiling point - lotus elises run at 110 degrees std operating temp.
my 25 is running a std nissan thermo with a 40mm PWR radiator and it sits at 89 all day everyday confirmed on autometer guage in the top hose, think the gasket issue might be something different again.
hey Neil,
FMS has sold it to me but that was a while ago - did you check the link i posted earlier?
think i might start making up some sheeting someday soon, was waiting on confirmation of the best UV stable resin to use on it.
nice project - looks like you havent done the seem welding bit yet - dont do too much work around that area until you get the welding done as most of the filler near there will be ruined with the welding.
try to wire brush all the scorching around your welds too before hitting with filler helps keep as little contamination between the filler and the metal.
use wrinkle paint - then coat over it in the colour you need.
OR
you get a spray gun full of primer , turn up the pressure and pull the part back from gun - so it dries as it heads for the part - then the primer will be wrinkled - then paint it!
nissan consult can be used from teh cabin if you ca get a hold of it
check for error codes from the std ECU - search
without knowing how the popper on teh bonnet is hooked up, its hard to suggest anything other than try to get power to it manually.
your lucky - mine wont last 3 days with my tracker.
i spent 2 days at an auto electrician like you - one thing i found was a 1.3A draw from the turbo timer with everything off - pulled it out and never put one back in.
without the current draw numbers its hard to tell if its bad or not - from memory a normal standard car should only drain about 1 to 1.5 A when sitting
ive seen those magnetic ones - but only for skis and fishing rods, are there any out there wide enough for boards.
need some also since the daily's back seat dont fold down
if its as thin as it looks, i would reinforce the back of it with some new fibreglass from a DIY kit from bunnings or something.
also chip that flake off before you start anything as well, dont want it getting worse under new bog etc.
Paint with pearl red flakes over black base --- i used WAY too much red flake in the clear - tone it back and it should work like you think - but it will always look a little red
